Well I am sure those that died feel better now knowing it was a mistake and not a lie.

BTW we don't have freedom a speech? I cannot have an opinion? I believe Iraq war was about oil, I don't post links to websites where someone is stating this as fact. Having opinion Obama is a socialist is find, have it. Having opinion Obama administration is to restrictions on business is great.

Don't confuse fact with opinion. I respect your opinion, Christines and 98% folks here.

You might want to check your sources more thoroughly, as the US supreme court upheld the constitutionality of the individual mandate; that it is within the power of the federal gov't to impose a tax on those without health insurance.

A case that is going to re-evaluate the employer mandate will be heard, but no ruling has been handed down.

Also, I am for removing the golden parachute of all politicians, and instituting term limits on all offices.

Yes Germ, 4% is a huge jump. If you bumped my wife and I's taxes by 4% we would more than likely miss a mortgage payment this year. Just because a 4% doesn't seem like much to you because hey they are just "the rich", that 4% may be an additional $40,000 in taxes a person making a million a year pays. That is BS.

I cannot tell you how many people I pull over around midnight that I believe are drunk drivers only to find out they are small business owners returning home after 15-16 hours of work and are just exhausted. Do you think that when one of them makes it big because of all of their hard work and dedication they should have to pay higher taxes? That is a slap in the face and borderline if not outright Unconstitutional in my book. It is embarassing to believe my fellow Americans actually believe we need to jam "the rich" in the form of taxes based on their success.

On this, we can agree. Not having a balanced budget should earn our legislature a lynching.

Stopping foreign aid while leaving Americans out high and dry is sickening and something most all of us can agree on. It needs to stop now.

If $40,000 a year ($3500/mo) causes someone that is making $90,000/mo to miss a mortgage payment, then they are grossly mismanaging their money. The same can be said for those making $20,000 a month. If $900 a month causes them to miss a mortgage payment, then they as well are grossly mismanaging their money.

See Vendetta there you go again thinking you have any rights to someone elses money. You don't and if you believe what you wrote above then you somehow believe the rich have to answer to folks like you. Again they dont.

Do you believe they should get more deductions then? It works both ways, let's be fair and keep the rates the same, but limit the deductions a small business owner can take. Yes I take full advantage of them, we cannot just look at one side of the coin.

Tax system is whacked, but please don't act like these people are victims. Our tax system is setup to give those making more, the most breaks. IMO I am fine with it, a small business or large business owner should get more breaks.

Essentially, can't the same be said about the government? Have they not completely mismanaged OUR money?

At this time in our country, I have no problem talking about tax increases. What I do have a problem with is talking about tax increases without any talk about spending cuts. We should be talking about spending cuts first and then tax increases to make up the difference.

    This x2.

Further (imo) any suggested tax hikes should include all tax brackets not just the top earners.

You are right ... it should be broader ... there are many "conservatives" that buy in to the "Robin Hood" mentality....

And the liberals that don't buy into it, I give you a pass on my statement ... but the majority of them do...

While i'm not saying business owners don't get breaks(deductions, exemptions, etc) ignoring the fact that the bottom 50% of earners essentially pay nothing is confusing to me. Hell many families in that bracket get paid when it's all said and done. They get many exemptions and deductions as well and pay in at a much lower rate.

Its scary how liberals and conservatives think. Liberals only want to talk about raising taxes to pay for this mess and conservatives only want to talk about cutting welfare programs to pay for this mess. Both are only partially correct and that's scary as hell.

I didnt vote beacause my singular vote and voice means nothing, absolutly nothing(electoral college for those who think Im crazy) Ill start to vote the day it is by majority vote period not all this disctricts and this state counts for this many point and this state only counts for this many and the election was called even tho we only counted half the vote because the remaining disctricts dont add up to enough this canidate ......... complete bs PERIOD! The electoral college served a purpose once, about 200 years ago, when people had to travel for days to get to the polls and some just couldnt get there. The number of elecotoral votes each state has is a representative number of its population always has been. Today the electoral college has long outlived its purpose or usefullness, you can pratically spit in any one direction and hit a polling place, you can vote via absentee( which they will mail to your house for you so you dont even have to leave your home), early voting, and mark my words youll be able to vote online more than likely in the next election in 2016.
wheeeeew ok Ill dismount my soap box now.
