For me, the people on the far left AND the far right are scary. There are a lot of liberals and conservatives that aren't lunatics...but plenty that are.

Looks like it was in one particular state where it was ruled unconstitutional....either way, small victory!

I think we got it wrong and they weren't there either....but to state something like that as fact when we got on national tv and basically said "were comin for ya get ready" is just as naive as believing as a fact that they were there and they got rid of them before we arrived. No one knows for sure.

I agree with troop removal and ceasing foreign aid, creating a budget for once in 4 years (much less cutting one)... Then we can consider tax increases. You're spitting too much logic with that mindset!

My comment was directly related to this:
As $40,000 a year isn't going to equate to much for someone making $90,000 a month. I'm being realistic, are you?

I agree 100%, as I've stated many times I agree spending cuts are required as well as tax increases.

Not a "victory" when it doesn't mean anything.

If I was your age and single, I would have considered it. Make it the Yukon though.

What I am trying to say is, who are you and others to judge someone like your above comment? How do you know how they gained their wealth? How do you know if that same millionaire is supporting 4 kids in college at 40K per kid, per year? How are you to know anything? You and others should be ashamed of yourselves for even entertaining the notion to tax "the rich" of your country in anything other than the manner consistent with that of every other American.

I am so glad the founding fathers and torch bearers of this great country did not think like you and other persons who believe in wealth redistribution via a bs tax increase used under the guise of helping our economy. The proposed tax hike is being used to redistribute wealth to make amends for all the perceived injustices over the years, the one's the cry babies like to talk about when they claim "victim" status. It is also being used to pander for votes instead of sticking to the principles of our Constitution. I would rather have the ship sink than bend and manipulate the principles of our Constitution and what this great country stands for the world over.

I'm glad you feel it necessary to bold your comment, because that lends credibility. You also completely avoided the question by misdirection and attacking me. Many "rich" people are in agreement with me. So before you start pointing fingers as to how am I supposed to know how $4k a month will affect a millionaire, simple, I've heard them say it. You and I obviously have different views on what this country was founded upon. I'm just glad you are in the minority. Very rarely do you see the rich stand up and protest as much as the middle class, and this will forever confound me. If the people making the money say it's ok, who are you to say it isn't?

America has to actually make goods to export for a strong consumer based economy again, we import more than we export anymore

I didn't put words in your mouth. You said "the smart ones" know...I just figured the other ones must be dumb. I mean they must be right to not see the logic behind giving more money into a system that then redistributes it for them either directly to those without or in the form of a minimal tax burden. And they do that in the hope that the ones receiving money or saving on taxes will then just turn around and spend it(stimulating the economy) and the rich folks will get it back anyway. No rich person would ever say "Hey why don't we just cut out the steps in the middle there and I'll keep the money I've made. Oh that's right it's greedy to want to keep your own stuff but not greedy to want others stuff. Got it, thanks again.

 I guess the taxes spent on NASA, Arm Forces and Infratructure is a waste then. It's all spent on others and not defense or national parks. Don't take it to the extreme new, try yo have a little common sense.

And I am greedy as the next guy BTW. I refuse to stick my head in the sand, I am willing to listen and work for a fix. Look at all the options.

I bolded my comment because when I copy and pasted your quotes the blue outline would not go away and one could not differentiate my post with your post...smart guy.

Yeah who's paying for all that stuff you listed Germ? Safe to say it's not the bottom 50%. I mean why should they...the rich folks will take care of it, right? I mean you folks just run along and spend your tax returns and stimulate the economy. Common sense try to have some....Ok will do. Thanks again;)
