    Would you rather shoot a

    1.) 120" symetrical rack buck

2.) 120" Rob buck ...let's say 80" on one side, 40" on the other? :p

I'm with you, Schultzy .... give me a rack with character any day .... I like the non-typical over the typical .... although this year, I'll take either with my bow :D

    Neither

BTW for a buck to have 80" and 40" he would score higher than 120" as you did not account for inside spread

It would take an absolute freak of a Rob buck for me to shoot another. I shot one back in 2003. One is enough for me ;)

Jeff .... the question was which one would you RATHER shoot .... obviously you would take either, as would MOST guys .... but IF you had 2 bucks walking together, both would score 120 ..one a rob as stated in the original scenario ... both presenting a 20 yard broadside shot ...you get the pic ... now, which one?

EDIT**** Both are 3.5 year olds and neither is a piebald ;)

Make them 130 and I'll take the typical, I don't care how worn his teeth are.

it answers it ... and on so many levels, I agree with your choices, as ANY 120" buck around my area would be a dandy ...

While I am sure it didn't score 120", been there done that in concept. I shot this deer in 2004. It didn't do anything for me one way or the other. At the time, I thought I needed to remove hime from the genetic pool. I now realize that was probably flawed reasoning on my part.

I would probally go with the typical. But hey, we all like different things.

I would shoot any buck with 80" of antler on one side, as long as its a "good representation of the species" ;):D
