in the thick of it now. The weather cleared enough for his small plane ride, and he was able to put boots on the ground! Watch out P&Y Sitka blackk-tail deer! I know your days are numbered! If anyone cares, here's Rob's GPS coordinates: Latitude:56.54747 Longitude:-153.92764 Go ahead, use your GoogleMap skills and find out exactly where he is! Best of luck Rob!
Ok, so Google Map sucks. Here's a better link: http://www.terraserver.com/view.asp...oj=32605&pic=img&prov=-1&stac=-1&ovrl=-1&vic= It appears he's clear down on the south end of Kodiak. If he "Spots" me again, it means he has a deer on the ground.
That's gotta be exciting Will!! Just like years ago at our house waiting for the phone to ring during the archery whitetail deer season that a friend shot one and we need to go track It.
Locating him on GE is quite simple. Got o your search bar and type in; 56.54747, -153.92764 The comma seperates the longitude and latitiude, while the minus sign tell GE you want to be on the western hemisphere. Rob is at the very south end of Kodiak island on Sitkinak Island
Made it home this afternoon (a day early). Pics and story will get loaded tomorrow, or maybe later tonight if I run out of things to unpack, wash, dry out, butcher or vacuum seal. It was an awesome trip! As a teaser, we had to charter a second plane (Found Bush Hawk) to get all our deer back! And Will was right about days being numbered for at least one P&Y buck.
