Hunting season has come to a close in Montana. It wasn’t looking like a good year going through the summer with drought, grasshoppers, and grey beetles. We were lucky and didn’t have any fires. As others throughout this state and surrounding states did. The only storms we got came with 100 mph wind and 90 mph wind. Half hour of wind and we are still fixing damage. When hunting season started, we weren’t seeing the deer like normal. Not sure what to expect, but pretty soon the rut started,...

I'm planning on putting in for a 900-20 Antelope tag for Montana but have heard that the Antelope population got hit pretty hard by the droughts last summer. Is it worth it to still put in for this tag or head to another state? My thinking it that if they got hit hard in Montana they probably felt the same thing in all other states. Also, my thinking is to just head towards Miles city and check out some block management land but if you all have information of productive parts of units that...
