Wouldn't do no good , I was in Ohio for a 14 day bowhunt and on the 3rd morning went out to my truck only to find busted out windshield and all mine & buddy's bows and gear gone , called insurance and they said they only cover items that are part of the vehicle , I did however file a claim on my homeowners , they paid but not near what we lost ..
When my stuff was stolen, I did an insurance claim....I can't remember if it was car it homeowners....
I remember that http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php/17379-All-my-Bowhunting-stuff-was-stolen-at-work-today
Twisting up some new strings for one of my back-up bows , 2003 Hoyt Havoc-Tec .. I still like to take it out every season and kill 1-2 with it ...
Hey Mike, yes small world right. I think I have met you then. Madison show this spring?? Don't believe everything my old man says though. LOL Man that sucks about your stuff Wisco, yes you can do a homeowner claim, but as we all know they will get that money back in higher rates down the line. Have had numerous stands, cameras etc. stolen as well and there is no way to describe the feeling if it hasn't happened to you. Hope to here the news that you got your stuff back and caught the guy. How can people do that?????
Sorry for the late update i have been busy getting ready for the fast approaching early teal and early goose season. Well turns out it was not my stuff! A good family friend is a sales rep for a bunch of companies so he said he can get me a lot of the gear I need for a discounted price. I talked to a friends dad who had claimed his stuff that was stolen under homeowners and he advised not to have my parents claim it. So looks like I'm going to taking a big chunk of dough out of the bank. But I did sell some of the stuff I don't use so Im not to worried about spending to much. Im getting a list together of what I need to get so I can hopefully have it by the end of the week! So I don't have to worry about it and will have it all ready for Sept 12th!
Got my crossbow permit in the mail today. Don't have to chance blowing the shoulder completely out. I'll put an asterisk next to my score if need be, but missing season is not an option Next up, continuing rehab and hopefully being able to climb a stand other than a ladder stand.
I don't know of any websites, but a good way in western Wisconsin is to put an add in the classifieds of the local paper. Most of the old time farmers don't spend much time on the internet, but they do still read the newspapers. Not sure if that would work as well down there though. Sent from my VS980 4G using Tapatalk
