I was outside in the back talking to one of the individuals that live in the apartments I manage (I work with the developmentally disabled), and everthing was normal.

I go outside to make a call about 1/2 an hours later and I notice all the doors of my vehicle are open .... my heart sank when it hit me what happened.

I look inside and my bow and everything with that are gone. My 5 in 1 coat with my backtag is gone ... my Backpack with ALL the stuff we put in there is gone ... and my 30gig I pod is gone.....

    Total value = $2,000.00 +

I am absolutely sick to my stomach .. this was in a nice neighborhood and the property is surrounded by privacy fence ... there are abandoned tracks behind house ... the police figure they hopped the fence and grabbed the stuff, threw it over and hopped back over ....

Worst part ..... I have a $1,000 deductible and to replace the items, insurance doesn't pay replacement value (my choice), so it's not even worth doing a claim as my insurance will go up for a few hundred $

I am literally sick to my stomach

WOW - people suck! Totally sorry to hear that. :(

Post up a list of stuff that you lost and need to replace, I know I've got some extra gear I'd be willing to donate to help replace it. Maybe others will too.

That really sucks Tony. Like JZ said, I have some usable stuff sitting around I could help you out with.

I hope they catch the lowlife.

Please don't turn the other cheek to him, he'll take that too.

Man, that is terrible. I hope that you will be able to get your equipment back (Check the pawn shops within 45 mile range). I'm sorry to hear your story. Hopefully something good will happen to you.

Damn that sucks. I always fear this will happen. I wouldn't even be that upset if someone stole my vehicle, but my first thought would be "all my hunting stuff was in there!"

Like Justin said, post a list. That way people can reply and see what has already been donated. I bet with the people on this forum, you'll have enough gear to hunt again, quickly.

Guys ... I REALLY appreciate the offers .... but I posted this here cuz you guys are my friends ... I almost didn't because I was afraid someone would think I was trying to get something ....

My bow season is over in 4 days .... well, after this, it's over now  ... in hindsight, my jacket was to big after the weight loss, so next year I would have gotten a new one anyway ....

what really hurts the most ... and I am welling up as I type this ... is my Drenalin .... those BASTARDS took a very sentimental bow to me ... my kids and wife saved up for a year to pitch in and give me a gift certificate to the pro shop I bought it from ......

All my accessories AND my backpack are gone .... that hurts .. but none touch the theft of my kids gift to me....

I am at a loss for words to describe what I think of thieves such as these. What was the DW and DL of that Drenalin?

PT - I have an older Proline RipTide Bow that you could have if your looking for a quick bow replacement. You would need a new string on it for next year but, it would be fine for the rest of the season. bow draws super smooth and is pretty quick. Let me know if your interested.

That really bites! At times like this it must be hard to be a preacher, unless you're like the one Clint Eastwood played!!

    Sorry to hear.

I don't think anyone would think that. My offer to pitch in still stands if I have anything you need.

That really sucks about the bow.

Tony, I hate to hear this. I have a couple safty vest's, one summer, one winter you are welcome to. I just got a Muddy from BH. I'm sure once I dig thru my stuff I will find something else. Don't give us the crock of not accepting our gifts to you. If we didn't want to we wouldn't offer. Tiss the season bro.
