    As some of you may remember, I'm a big old softy when it comes in my dad and he's the guy who taught me about hunting and all that. He hasn't been able to go for about 5 years due to health issues, and his cancer is back this year, he's going through treatments so this morning I talked to him and I got a "we'll see" if he'll be up here in MI for rifle season. That said, being the dutiful son that I am, decided that his gear which he left with me years back needed a good cleaning and all that, so was going through through his bin and I came across his favorite knife. A Buck 110 folder, almost 50yo. All the brass was green and the blade was mottled with patina.

    30 minutes later she's shave sharp and ready to gut one.

    He told me years ago he bought it for me before I was born at the same time he bought me a Ruger 10/22. Now, I'm smart enough to know that means that's only a half truth, that's what he told my mom with the intent of it coming true 50 some odd years later. But here we are. Ready to KILL

    Guessing he shot a good one, hell, He's good into the late season for a good buck. If he shot one in October it's going to be worth it.

    I’ll be up in less than half hour hunting close to home, hopes aren’t to high for this spot this morning the movement has been pretty slow on this property so far. Good the weather supposed to be decent 37 this morning.
