Just got out of my supervision meeting. I fed the dogs, and hitting the road! Let's go Friday PM shift!!! Let's start this weekend off with a bloody kill!
I had a general idea, but I couldn’t find her at first. Rode back to the truck, grabbed the thermal imager and found her almost immediately. She had run into a thicket and died and of course I couldn’t find a blood trail. I know that’s shocking.
Been up for a minute. Found the stand pretty easily, bumped one that was either bedded or eating acorns about 15yds beyond the stand. Got to the tree and spent 15 minutes trying to figure out if it was even in the boundary. Finally decided it was, but really wish DNR would have included a topo overlay to help out with figuring it out. He must have been drunk when he hung it, 3 of the 4 steps are perfectly in line, but the third is at about 5 o'clock from 6. Acorns still dropping but not like last weekend.
His "TNN Outdoors area", pretty much just a flood plain. Mostly dry, have an area of standing water with small 2 foot wide creek running to the west from it.
I know this probably isn't the thread for it but any of you guys shoot Prime? I have a opportunity to purchase a Prime Nexus 2 for real cheap. Just don't have any dealers around me and never shot one. Always wanted to try one but didn't want to spend a lot of money on it if I don't like it.
Just had 2 does come from TNN outdoors, this branch made me adjust. Got drawn back and tried to stop the lead one at about 30 and she fast trottedbehind as did 2nd. Got turned around nd had to deal with tether that angle and they just kept walking, wasn't going to try to MEH twice. Even knocked water bottle down to ground turning around and they didn't flinch. This branch is to my left about 14" above my shoulder.
Sent him this since he can legally kill a buck now. Forgot to crop out the 2 black areas on the edges
I don't normally speak Irish, was going to say seen me move, but with as sunny as it is figured phone glare sounded better
