Look what I got back...done in less than a month! Awesome quality work once again.

Shout out to Derry Null out or Zanesville OH. He has done both my bucks, 2005 and this year.

    Why yes...since you asked :D

    2005 (Left)
The deer on the left was from 2005. My first archery buck and my first archery deer. I had settled into my stand a little late on November 5th and light was already lighting the eastern sky. At about 8:15am, I had caught site of a doe coming straight towards me on the edge of an uncut corn field I was hunting. I was set up at the end of a creekline that seperated two different uncut corn fields just as this creekline merged with the hardwoods. It was a great funnel cooridor for the deer to travel on.

Anyhow, the doe came up in front of me and then followed the edge of the corn field that opened to a wonderful broadside 20yd shot for me. As she approached, she stopped and looked back. I followed with my eyes and caught glimpse of a rack. As the buck approached, I slowly grabbed my bow, but they both came upon me so quick I was still sitting in my ladder stand 15ft up. I didn't risk standing so I decided if I was going to shoot, it would be from the sitting position.

When the buck came into the open area 20yds from me, I had plenty of time to study him. At first I said to myself he was not big enough, then upon studying him longer, I talked myself into it. He was standing broadside and pulled back on my 2001 Reflex and let a Muzzy 4 blade fly. He ran 50 yds into the woods and was done. Awesome experience for sure!

    2010
My 2010 buck came after two complete years of not being able to pick my bow up. See my thread here http://forums.bowhunting.com/showthread.php?t=17175
    for the story.

    Thanks.

    $395 + tax/ea

A little more expensive in my area, but, you get what you pay for.

VERY quick turnaround, and the quality looks amazing. I may have missed it in the thread somewhere, but does he only accept a limited number of deer per year to keep the turnaround so quick?

Derry is a CLASSY guy all the way around, from his old days as a firefighter to his taxidermy skills to his phenomenal archery skills, he's a guy that most any of us here could sit down and enjoy a cold beverage with and talk hunting or archery and come away feeling we'd gained something.

Nice looking mounts, similar in quality to the one I have on the wall that he did.....:tu:
