    Looks great! I've seen several "smiling" cats over the years that looked terrible

    Nice, I had one like that roll through my set this year. I said it last year, but this year I am gonna get a furtaker's tag so I can arrow one if I see it.

    Greg, that's a great looking cat and I hope mine turns out that good. My taxidermist had three cat mounts and the two bigger cats looked real good but the smaller one was ok. The noses didn't look real good but yours looks perfect.

    Here's his story in pictures... :)

    I missed him the night before... and taking some advice of another trapper on the forum I'm on when I'm not here, I constructed this "rub post set"... the big limb in front of the cat is something I picked up on the way to make the set the next day and stuck in the ground. I spread a skunky gland lure about 18" off the ground, and the cat couldn't resist rubbing it's back and side on it just like you'll see a housecat do. :)

    Bottom line is I'd always wanted a bobcat mount for YEARS... when my son Matthew and I started trapping last year, this was one of our first ones we caught together so I had it mounted... lotta memories in this mount of our first trapping season together.

    No it's not, Tony... just a piece of cedar the taxi had at his shop.

    Greg, thats BEAUTIFUL :) When a mount looks alive, its a quality mount,,,,that one looks ALIVE!! I love it, but didnt know you had it mounted until seeing your other thread. great pics!
