Ok, I see a lot of guys on here have "pro-staff" in their signatures. How does this come about? Given I just have a little farm in central Indiana that I hunt on, but I'm planning a few trips. Do you get any perks or is it just a name sake?
Pro-Staff Most of the companies that I am prostaff for give me free/discounted products that they produce. In return we promote their products at certain events and such. We video our hunts for HC Outdoors and we will mention them in videos and stuff. If that doesn't answer your question let me know! Thanks, Andrew
Our Pro Staff consists of experienced bowhunters from around the country who do a variety of things to help promote our websites and our Sponsors. This is done through Blogging, writing articles for our websites, filming hunts for our online show, social networking, working with us at trade shows, etc. Are there some perks? Yeah. There have to be otherwise nobody would agree to do it. Is anyone getting rich or quitting their day job because of them? Unfortunately no. Right now we're not actively adding anyone to our team as we're fairly full heading into this fall, but I'm sure we'll be looking to add people going into next season. When the time comes we'll be looking for people who are not just passionate about bowhunting but can be good ambassadors for our company and our partners via writing and filming.
Cool guys. Thanks for the help. I try and stay active on these boards reading as much as I can just for this. I've gotten enough outside interest in what I'm doing that a local hunting crew has been offering to film some of my hunts. Unfortunately I'm fairly new to the bow but it'll happen soon enough.
All My Pro Staffs i'm on i've been on for years were like family except for one Harvest Time Archery i just got on that one , i get a discount on arrows from them , all the rest is unlimited use of there products , these are true companys i believe in as well as there products , its just not about who gives the most free stuff to me like some guys try to go after . I do alot of trade shows for my Staffs and it can be hectic at times since most of the time there all there and each wanting me to work there booths ....i Git R Done but i'm usually wore out running back and forth and constantly changing hats and shirts .....lol......and the beer is good at the end of the day from them too....lol.... , i video all my hunts , while stalking Deer i use just my bow mounted cam while in the tree i use my bow mount and my camera guy has one camera on me and the other on the Deer which makes for 3 angles it makes for a great video and it gives my pro staffs more options of which clip they want to use in there comercials and there own videos . I hunt dang near year round now that Turkey season is over i'm all over the Yotes with my Bows getting footage of hunting them as well , along with making the videos for them i also get them trail cam pic of there products in use such as Tinks , Tink Nathan and Terry Rohm have been good friends of mine for years .
Hoosier Daddy, that is awesome. I would love to be there one day. I am pretty good with a bow on the range now but, I have not harvested a deer with one yet. I want to film my first time harvesting one this coming season. Over the course of last season and the home work I have done since, I think I have a really great chance of being successfull this season. I believe It will come within the first few hunts of the season. Anyways, thanks for sharing the info with everyone.
You just let me know if you need anything. I've got plenty of yotes if want to film some of those hunts, or just do it for fun. I've never ran a camera but i'm sure I can figure it out. I was just through Memphis yesterday and the drive isn't much more than to work.
Your welcome Bud , If there is any other questions you or anyone else has just ask away i will try and help .
I just responded to your PM , sure i'll take you up on that offer , lets stick some some yotes , i can get you set up with a few of my calls i make and the electronic caller , and the camera is easy to run you just have to watch and becareful of your movement , just like anything else you hunt and its good practice , bow hunting yotes is a true rush especially when you get one into bow range to the decoy its a rush every time it never gets old . My cell # is in my sig below , you can call me or text me anytime , and that goes for anyone else here too , glad to meet you guys on here .
I would really like to learn more about this and help in any way I can. Not in it for the perks but the invaluable skills andnlessons learned to better myself in the woods and increase my general knowledge of hunting/conservation/management. Please PM me if there's openings or more info. I'm in MD but am familiar with the entire mid-Atlantic because of work. Sean
