I tried an excellent venison Recipe this weekend. It turned out great.
I can’t remember where I found out about the recipe. I might have found it somewhere on-line or it might have been from someone on here so I’m not claiming that I invented this recipe.

    Bacon Wrapped Venison Chops
    2 Cups Soy Sauce
    1 Cup Brown Sugar
    1 Cup Vinegar
    1 Cup Pineapple Juice
    4 Teaspoons Salt
    1 Teaspoon Garlic Salt
    Bacon as needed
    Toothpicks as needed

First thing I did was to cut up some venison chops into pieces. You want the pieces sized appropriately so that bacon cut in half will wrap around it all the way.

I took the above marinate ingredients and simmered on the stove for 15 min.

While the marinate was simmering I cut the bacon in ½ and took each piece of meat and wrapped with bacon and stuck a toothpick through it.

I then took the bacon wraps and put in the marinate for 2-4 hours. Anything longer is too long and makes the flavor be too rich IMO

I then took an old baking sheet and lined with aluminum foil, sprayed with Pam and placed all of the wraps on it.

I then grilled on low ~300-350 deg for 30-45 min turning once.

    They turned out delicious.

Looks great I will have to try that one.. If you want one simular to that one take the venison just like you got it and marinate it over night in honey, The honey will be gone in the morning and the blood will be pushed out. Then wrap with bacon like you got it and grill.. I plike a open fire but grill will work.. Its awesome..Walt

My Version I call Deerdallions!! For the best flavor, grill these babies over charcoal, or hot coals from a wood fire. Usually I use a toothpick to hold the ingredients together, but if there are kids around, give them each a stick and let them use it to cook their appetizers over a campfire.

The venison is cut into bite sized pieces, then soaked in a flavorful marinade. Ingredients for the marinade include...

    One-quarter cup Worcestershire sauce
    One-quarter cup Soy Sauce
    One can of beer
One quarter cup of maple syrup
    One teaspoon black pepper
One half teaspoon each of onion powder and garlic powder
One quarter cup of brown sugar
One half teaspoon (or to taste) of powdered cayenne pepper

Marinate the venison for at least four hours, or overnight if you like. Remove the meat from the liquid. Wrap each morsel with a half slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick. Be sure to soak the toothpicks in water for a while so they don't turn to ashes. Grill over high heat for three to five minutes on each side, or until done to medium.
