Someone please explain to me the point of people trying to convince everyone that a particular conference is the best. It just seems so silly to me. I cheer for a team..... not a conference.
Nobody does it in college basketball, baseball or any other sport that I am aware of. Perhaps I should start a chant, "NFC North, NFC North, NFC North" at the next Packer game I attend.
Oregon's foolish coaching cost them the game last night IMO. Auburn didn't win the game, Oregon lost it. Furthermore, as someone who doesn't watch college football all that much, is it typical for the announcers to ride someone's jock that hard all game? I swear they all wanted to hop on Cam Newton's sac and ride him into the NFL.
After the Bears beat them in the NFC Championship game in two weeks you can shout that all you want. :D
Never really understood it myself. That would be like me saying the ACC rocks baby!!! Duke is the best team in the nation ..... woot! Not happening.
Clearly Justin if that happens the other NFC divisions should just cease to play football next year. Also, I want to say that the SEC is probably the best conference overall but......... who cares? Auburn should be the only team chanting anything this morning.
l didn't hear any SEC chants last night, which was nice for a change. Oregon definitely impressed me, but I felt Auburn was the better team. They left alot of points on the field with dropped passes. It was a great game.
It annoyed the piss out of me after LSU won in 2007 and the crowd started chanting "SEC, SEC, SEC!" Why? Why would you take away LSU's accomplishments and give them to the rest of the conference that did not do anything? I do not get it at all, but unfortunately I'm in the minority down here. Damn idiots.
Other teams in the same conference share the rewards ($$$$) and benefits (recruiting) from the success of their brother/sister.
So that is why you are creating a post on a bowhunting board and bragging up the SEC so your conference gets money? The excessive SEC vocalizations are nauseating. If you think it's so important your conference looks good you would think the results would be enough.
About as "nauseating" as some of the others you read here. But that is ok. College football is over for now. Let's move to basketball. You will not hear any SEC in basketball. Maybe Big East? Just a thought.
I just saw a post in the General Bowhunting Talk section that might help the majority of male SEC fans. Maybe that will help them get laid, and give them something better to do than gloat about a team they spend the rest of the season hating.
