Live from the stand thread is easily the best thread on these forums every year. Following people along the way as they follow blood trails is as good as it gets. When Joe got his buck was awesome.
I will sign up. If you can be moral booster, than so can I. I can at least contribute that way. Mostly, just whining about losing the access I had. It was a perfect place to take my boys who are just now old enough to start coming. Not sure how it will go trying to take them on public land.
Losing hunting ground sucks. It happened to me two years ago. I had to sell my house, (my hunting property) and go from seeing deer almost every sit, to going almost two full seasons and only seeing one deer.
My favorite parts about the contest is getting to know the guys. It's a big pick me up when it's cold, you haven't seen anything and the guys send text's of encouragement.
Two years ago I had an awesome team and we were so close to the winners...everyone participated in the chat...it was a ton of fun. Right now I'm dealing with continuation of last years shoulder issue and now add in a broken hand. Hoping to have the splint off in the next week or two. If it healed then no hard cast, otherwise hard cast for two or so weeks. Shot my bow like twice this year

I'm ready! I haven't been in the contest for two years. My climbing stick broke while setting it up and I fell 20 feet. I landed on my left side injuring my shoulder and hip, nothing broke but was in pain for a long time. Good to go now and I'm excited for this season. MA has just changed the opening to two weeks earlier!!!!
You weren't the only one! I have awful bow luck. But thanks. I should be good by August. Plus side is, it got me out of hay season lol.

The contest has been fun for me the last two years and last year we didn’t even compete. If you will be active and chat I would encourage you to join. The live from the stand thread is fun to it goes crazy the end of October through the start of most fun seasons catching up after work every day is treat.
