Grew up in Durham, NC. Now live in Chapel Hill, NC.

Both sides of my family have at one time or another relied on hunting and agriculture for their livelihood. Having grown up in a city, I didn't receive much exposure to hunting from a young age, except for the few times I hunted squirrel with my grandfather.

I decided after college that I really wanted to acquire a new set of outdoor skills - skills that far too many people choose to ignore. By chance, I started working for a guy who turned out to be one hell of a friend and an even better bowhunter and teacher. All it took was one late November bowhunt in 2010 and it was game over.

Archery and bowhunting have become a HUGE part of who I am now.
