      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Oh boy it&#039;s  been a minute since  I&#039;ve  looked at seed or tree prices, DANG!<br />
I have a slew of cutting to do, so many snapped off and uprooted trees. They aren&#039;t  the issue it&#039;s the  many,many hung up ones. All big trees rotted partially off and high. No safe way around them without a dozenblade or  caged big front end loader.<br />
Prices being what they are I&#039;ll be doing Transplants from around our place. Hoping some stored seed is viable and using feed seed.<br />

For these properties I have been planting Enlist soybeans or Liberty corn and then spraying out the water hemp with glufosinate and AMS in hopes to transition back to traditional food plot species and blends. <br />

I’ve heard that deer absolutely love eating marijuana plants and are the bane of an outdoor pot growers existence. That got me thinking… I wonder how a marijuana food plot would work. Apparantly they don’t really like to eat it until it’s almost ready for harvest in lte fall which would be perfect for a food plot since they would leave it alone during the summer...<br />

We havent had rain in idk when. Like a dust bowl. Got the fall plots  in today  and it was tough. I just hope we get some growth but i’m not expecting crazy results. Now we need RAIN ! <br />

BNB I&#039;ve been thinking of you lately.My chickens get fed a half pumpkin hollowed out and filled in with ground pumpkin and seeds twice a week. It&#039;s  a natural dewormer and filled with vitamins. <br />
I do take out, wash dry and store a bunch of seed for next years plantings. <br />
How do you get your seeds for the plot you do? I have. 3 varieties due to being given uncarved Halloween pumpkins to feed the birds..<br />

It has been a dream come true. We are still working to make it the best habitat for wildlife but it abundantly full of deer (a lot of good bucks), turkey, quail, and lots of rabbits. I planned on starting by getting sons fire wood  pulled out for him to pick up. I need to clean that out to cut all the other dead trees. There are so many dead trees. We have ash borer, beech canker, and maple fungi. I need to research how to promote grasses and weeds in my thinning acidic woods. Trees are thinning themselves yet regrowth isn&#039;t happening. We can&#039;t do burns here like...<br />
