Meet Cameron Hanes: Cam @ Winning Bow Bid for Rick Carone - YouTube Keep Hammering! Backcountry Bowhunting: A Guide to the Wild Side - Cameron Hanes Amen Brother!
Dude is a beast. I was watching him shoot at 160 yards. It was a 16" group. I know he doesn't shoot game that far but still that's pretty good. Oh yeah and he is jacked. Sent using Tapatalk!
I admire his passion and have nothing against him whatsoever, but the man crushes fellow hunters have on this guy is a little disturbing. :D Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S4.
Yeah, opinions are like elbows... everyone has one. I thought this would be a great way for folks to get to know the guy.
I smell a bromance here. I know a guide that has nothing good to say about him. I will leave it at that.
Agreed. His detractors aren't near as annoying as the crowd that hangs from his nuts. He's a meathead for sure, but no one can argue his success afield. He is a machine when it comes to bowhunting. Respect.
Always wondered this myself... Never understood why so many "crush" on him. He's just a bowhunter and a guy that likes to work out. Nothing against the dude, I'd hunt with him, I follow him on facebook, but I do get a little tired of all the shirtless sweaty "beast mode" pics popping up on my newsfeed every day.
Hopefully we are not "Missing the Point" of the links provided above. His fans and their activities could be a new entertaining thread someone else may like to post.
Huge Cam fan here - but could also do without the shirtless pics. I was fan when his FB followers were in the 100's (I had read his Backcountry Bowhunting book), now 10's of thousands following...but his message is still a good one - even just as it relates to fitness and working hard. ...but he is just one piece of the pie...equally of fan of Rinella's work, I like everything Fred Eichler puts out (and his dedication to family/outdoors)...and the guys putting out the new Western Hunter show and mags are top notch when it comes to hunting. But when it comes down to it - No way would I accept any of these guys jobs, the spotlight, or the cameras following me...it has to really take away from the things I love - getting lost in the woods, peace & quiet, working an elk one on one...Even Cam says he misses those early days of Bivy sack hunting solo 10+ miles from the road for days at a time...No thanks here to the spotlight - I'd rather share a DIY camp with family/friends...
That would be entertaining. It could cover all of his fans events like: 1. Cam's sack riding extravaganza 2. The Cam's shirtless calendar contest 3. Cam's fanboys campout 4. Cam for President 5. And the Cam not spam cook-off Good times for sure.
Why even bring it up then? You know a guy who doesn't like someone without offering any reasons why. Kind of a pointless post without more info behind it.
Okay....pointless it is. I know the reasons, but this is not the place to dig it up. Sorry I mentioned it. He obviously has some very faithful followers.
