If Obama, Jesse, Al, Holder, and any of the other BLACK leaders really wanted to help this country, they'd be going into the ghettos and telling kids to stop joining gangs, stop doing drugs, stop selling drugs, stop killing other black kids, stop doing anything that continues to in many ways support some of the stereotypes that young black men are more likely to be criminals... Where are they on the black on black crime??? Non-existent, mute, dumb, silent.... Let's make a huge giant embarrassing fiasco of a very obvious blatant case of self-defense where a young black man was killed while he was on top of another man who he thought was white trying to smash his face in, rather than deal with the REAL problem. TM was in Sanford rather than Miami because he had a drug problem that had gotten him in trouble at school. He proceeded to continue to use Marijuana even while he was suspended from school, otherwise he wouldn't have still tested positive in his autopsy report. His parents truly are at fault because they at some level failed him. Then after their failure, they grabbed the limelight wanting GZ to be labeled a racist, murderor, "wanna-be-cop," etc, when all GZ did was try to keep a watch on his neighborhood, and LEGALLY use his weapon to LEGALLY defend himself in the heat of a violent assault. Obama said to "Honor Trayvon Martin...." ????? What, how about we recognize that he was a worthless little wanna be thug pot smoker who died because he attacked the wrong man, a man most reported to have been a good man looking out for his community. I say we HONOR GZ for doing the right thing, trying to keep his neighborhood safe and free of crime, and using his weapon in the way he was trained in and act of self defense and maybe even self preservation, as the constituion allows each and every one of us to do.... HONOR GEORGE ZIMMERMAN, not Travyon Martin....
Trayvon had been caught with stolen jewelry and a large screwdriver in his backpack at school. There was political pressure at the time to not make official reports of crime by young black men at that school. They were implementing a new police program there that was supposed to be reducing the crime rate and officials were pressing the school to handle these types of situations instead of creating another crime statistic so the program could look successful. He was suspended from school twice. Once for drugs. He continued to do drugs. He had pictures on his phone of the stolen jewelry and a handgun. He also had photos of underage girls, naked. The photos of him that his supporters use are four years old. The new photos of him usually depict him flipping off the camera and blowing smoke and showing off his gold teeth. He had been kicked out of his family home also. But now his family wants to make him out to be an innocent young child. He was already well on his way to full blown thug mode. But, that doesn't make Al or Jesse any money. And, it takes away all the incentive to riot and steal. Trayvon was going to be another statistic sooner or later. Sad, but true.
Let's settle down with all the "Zimmerman was a good man" talk please. Assaulting an officer and domestic violence does not make someone a good man. Thank you.
You are correct, I personally don't believe Zimmerman is salt of the earth, but I also vomit in my mouth when I hear or see the words "honor Trayvon Martin." We truly have lost a grip on reality when people start to spew crap like that. That kid never did anything that deserves to be "honored." People who give back to the community, serve their country, make sacrifices for others, these are the people that deserve to be "honored." Not some 17 year old punk that had already showed signs of going down a dark path. For our president to be fueling the fire by making statements like that is despicable, and show just how far apart we truly are in regards to racism. We say stereotype when it comes to crime, but in reality it is statistics, stereotype is only a safe word people use to try and not sound racist. Statistics prove out that there is a higher crime rate among young African American males, why can't we admit the truth and work on the problem instead of placing blame.
