I think Zimmerman should of held back if he was carrying. My nephew went off on a cop when he was a out 17 and I'm glad the cop didn't shoot him. I think my nephew even went after the cops gun when he pulled it Nephew was drunk and probably stoned. Today he's married with a beautiful son. He did time and now he's got a felony record so he's kind of screwed but alive. I'm just saying.

Well said, and there is a pretty fair chance that if his story is accurate, which there are pictures to back up what he has claimed, and bruises and abrasions to TM's hands. GZ did exactly what a concealed weapon carrier is trained to do.... Use the weapon only as a last resort to protect yourself of others from harm. Maybe you need to get in touch with reality, he's on his back having his head smashed into concrete, and called for help repeatedly before he finally shot and killed TM. It's a VERY CLEAR case of self-defense, and a very fine case of a CCW being used exactly as the carrier was likely trained to use it. The biggest travesty here isn't the dead 17yr. old at all, it's the 28-29 yr old man who was crucified by the media and many in the black community and the administration in the "White House" for acting as a REASONABLE person might in the given situation. And to this, you are partially correct, but he killed the "kid" because the kid made some terrible choices... And in the end, it may have come down to GZ or TM living, and GZ decided that he was going to keep on living.... Pretend it's more than that, but thinking outside the box, were it a 35 and a 38 yr old man, both white, and the facts of the case the same, one had the other on the ground pummelling him, while the other called out for help repeatedly, until he finally used his weapon to kill his attacker, your opinion would be COMPLETELY different. The age/race of the two parties should have no bearing on the situation, the FACTS should!!! And you're stupid nephew is lucky to be alive because a GOOD COP would have ended his existence.... 20 yrs ago, here in my hometown. a cop gave a young man he knew a second chance, and died for it. Given the situation over, the dirtbag, coke-head young man should have died and the cop should have faced whatever criticism would come his way. But being the "nice guy" he was, he finished last.... TM from most HONEST accounts was a turd, a kid with an atttitude, and a kid with a chip on his shoulder. Maybe had his parents provided a little more guidance, they wouldn't have had to endure the fiasco of the last 17 months, and GZ could have lived a semi-normal life without death threats and ignorant racist black people calling him a cracker and wishing him dead.

I wasn't really bashing fox. Its the only national news I look at for that reason. I may be altra conservative but I still like to look at both sides.
So do I and the National media has fueled this travesty and lying to the American people. They made this story out to be something it wasn't. They were more worried about a story and less about facts without regard for the parties involved. Most dont even realise the fbi investigated this and they concluded this had nothing to do with race. That in itself will probably nock down the civil rights case before it ever gets started. Yep. They were talking on Fox about how all this old cival rights people long for the old days when they had something to fight for. Now what made them famous is pointless. Ruined Zimmermans life and I hope he goes after them now. NBC with the doctored up audio tape! WTH Posting a picture of TM at 14? And they created a new race out of it. White Hispanic. What really bothers me it the DOJ trying to go after him for civil rights violations. Can the witch hunt stop now. Obama has egg on his face for his stupid statement about the case early on, now he has Holder grasping for strawing trying to make something stick. The fact that we even knew about this case is also ridiculous, and the media needs to be held accountable for their misrepresentation of the case. There are dozens of murders everyday in this country, yet this one was promoted by the media, dividing our country even further. What one man does to another should not be allowed to cause this type of divide between the people of this country.
I agree the DOJ needs to move on. They have no case and this will drag zimmerman through the mud further. The fbi said it wasn't racial so it most likely won't ever see a court room. I believe its not gonna be to long before all the media is just like the tabloids. Its all just a ratings popularity contest. They don't care about facts anymore. They stretch and bend statements and events in order to be the most shocking, gossip driven, ratings grabber out there. Its a tragedy in itself how the media acts and portrays things. The biggest tragedy is it works on a greatly increasing number of people that are ignorant and don't have the sense to read between the lines.
