Well your first line is interesting, he does not have the balls to fight, but does have the balls to get out and look for him. The balls argument does not work IMO. If you don't have balls to fight and want to avoid one, why get out of the car?
If Martin had shot Zimmerman would we even be having this conversation or know who these people are. I heard someone call Zimmerman a white Hispanic today? This is racial and has nothing to do with the law.
I think they've used race to blow this thing up way to much and ultimately he may walk on murder charges but they'll charge him with something just to make the community happy. Regardless of what happened its a shame whenever somethimg like this happens race is always brough into it and the media jumps all over it and makes it into a witch hunt, especially if the one who gets killed is black.
You may very well be right but imo, reasonable doubt is still very much in Zimmerman's favor. The reason I think you might be right is it is human nature to want someone to have to pay when someone gets killed, regardless of circumstances. Yeah I def agree that he walks...the prosecutor doesn't even seem to believe that Zimmerman is quilty. From what I have seen he seems very weak in court certainly not the guy you want if you want a conviction. In the end Zimmerman certainly doesn't seem to have done anything wrong and looks like the jury will have no choice but to see that as well.
Our country is a piece of work. If Zimmerman walks, then why should he subject to some ridiculous civil suit? As much as I hate OJ Simpson, I don't think he should have been subjected to and subsequently "convicted" in civil court. Our court system is another topic for another day. The prosecution fishing around for what they feel is the appropriate charge is extremely weak. It shows most everyone with an open mind what exactly their intentions are during this case. This is a racial case. Period. They are using it as a means to placate the volatile public and in the end they are jerking around an innocent man in the process. That is disgusting.
I wonder if the news media ran with the story when they heard the name Zimmerman and thinking he was Jewish. Just thinking out loud. But yes. Had Zimmerman been black we would of never heard of the case. IMO
The only reason it is getting attention is because it is "race related". It is ridiculous. The kid had drugs in his body at the time of death and was proven to have a gun shot wound WHEN HE WAS ON TOP. All the facts support Zimmerman's story. Zimmerman's father was born in Peru. I don't get why they are trying to turn this into a huge black vs white case. It is a complete logical fallacy used by the media in order to advance their own agenda and promote their shows. Where are the people who care more about their country and the wellbeing of all people instead of their bank account and popularity? Oh wait they never get interviewed because it does not make "good television".
Actually his mother is the Peruvian, but I agree with much of what you said. The facts of the case are very clear for a self-defense acquittal. Sadly, many people can't see the Trayvon that was killed, only a younger more innocent version. Make this a black man and black teenager, or a white man and a white teenager, and this never sees a court. At 6'+, and 150-160#, the 17 yr old is a man as much as most ever will be, not a child.
I concur. Being young myself I personally believe that kids now days are given too much time to "grow up". I personally do not totally buy into this teenage thing. In my opinion you are either a child, or a man. Nowhere in between. This teenage thing has been invented in order to make up for poor parenting and a lack of work ethic by today's youth. It also gives kids room to make mistakes and "experiment". Pretty much go and do stupid sh** while still being protected by their parents. A lot of the problems today are a direct result of young people not having the kahoonas to take control of their own lives and would instead rather have someone else do it for them. Not going to happen
