http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1790885/?ref_=hm_cht_t3 Watched this last night. Before watching it, I had Lincoln pinned for Best Picture. Django was my favorite movie of the year, with Lawless second. I have to say i was VERY impressed. The ending would fit Hookers threads perfectly. Very suspenseful, very well filmed, pretty much flawless. The fact that you KNEW how it was going to end and it still kept you intrigued was the best. Bigelow may get herself another Oscar. I wouldn't be surprised if it cleaned up actually. Much better then the hurt locker.
I enjoyed the movie... but it's from an entirely different angle than the book. The book was from the SEAL view, training, practicing and all that for years and months before the raid. The movie is from the CIA point of view. The girl is real and in the book. Many line in the movie were direct quotes from the book. The book describes more clearly what happens when the crash the chopper and all. It also clears up a lot of what went on in the complex. I liked them both... but have to go with the book for factual content. But hey, they lie in books too. LOL
Books always beat the movie, that is true. I have Seal Team 6 on DVD too, im sure that goes into the SEAL details a little more.
I'm reading the book now and hope to see the movie after. The thing that gets me is all the controversy when the book came out and nothing much was said about the movie.
I would love to know if the SEALS actually got those two kills by whispering the names of the two males, one being Osama. If so, that is awesome.
Guess didn't hear much bout that. Jus knew everything they were sayin bout the book. Hell at one point they were talking bout taking all his retirement benefits and thought even heard bout messing with his discharge. Its all kinda dumb I thought, there's hundreds of books written by former military talking about what they did.
