Fear tactics is a terrible way to communicate the Gospel becase its not the Gospel at all. The Gospel is that an all powerful, all knowing, and LOVING not hating God came in our weakness which is sin and he became fully human and was still fully God in the form of Jesus and died a horrible human death so that we dont have to. Then rose again to defeat death and sin so that we dont have to live in fear of God but live in the beauty of knowing that he is for us and loves us unconditionally. It may sound crazy but that is why faith comes from God not our human finite minds. Our minds cant wrap around it, but thats where God comes in to reveal His truth through scripure.
