Right on, heck of an ending today! Win at the last second! after a few years of dissapointing first round departures the Zags, finally get back into the sweet 16... Facing North Carolna no less!

Go Zags! Eastern Washington and Northern Idahos favorite team!

Don't get me started that was a heartbreaker....I thought for sure we tied it up for overtime. :bash:

Gotta give props to WKU atleast, they definitely showed up to play....they just couldn't match up down low.

Mendez-Valdez was RIDICULOUS on the threes though.

That was an amazing game, with a let down ending. Went from screaming and jumping up and down, to 6 seconds later sitting on the couch covering our faces. Figured we had another upset on the way.

I hope the Zags beat down on UNC, they will be able to match up down low much better....just hope Lawson doesn't pull 19 points with a busted big toe again like he did on LSU.

Great games all around last night. I don't watch much college basketball, but that and the Duke game was pretty good.

With Hansbrough, Thompson, Zeller and Davis? How deep do the Zags go on their front line?

Never said UNC wasn't a far superior team, just that Zaga would match up down low with them much better than WKU would, we have no one down low.

I have no clue about Zaga at all....just a loathing of UNC that'll never die. I hope they get smoked.:busted:

Hansbrough would be fairly easy to throw off his game, he is one of the biggest babies in the game. Foul him hard once or twice, or swat him a few times...and it will get in his head. I can't stand the guy personally, just something about him...probably the way he flops all the time. He produces in college no doubt, just don't like the way he always whines to the refs, flops for charging calls against the smallest guy on the court, etc. Ellington and Lawson are where it's at, those guys are unreal.

Im a UK fan and we didn't even make the big dance, so I have no stake in this fight. Next year UK will be a force to reckon with in the paint down low with Patterson and Orton paired up....not sure how the teams season will pan out though, we still lack a good point guard to tie up the loose ends.

Agreed, LSU definitely took Hansbrough out of his game the other day and I've often said he can hurt Carolina against teams like that because he is taken out of his game by those long, athletic teams.

I'm hoping to see UK come back to prominence under Gilispie, I've heard he's a dirty guy but I loved the way his A&M teams played

Gonzaga is very long and athletic. Solid bench too. They go 6-11 g/f, 6-10.5 center, 6-9 g/f, 6-6 g and 6-2 point for starters.. They bring a 6-3 and 6 foot guards off the bench, as for big boys off the bench 7-5 and 6-4 250lbs and 7-0 if hes healthy..
