I don't know how many of you enjoy their music, but if you do I would highly recomend going to one of their shows if you get a chance. I went to the show last night and it was incredible. Three and a half hours of solid music with no intermission. They really don't have an opening act as they all intermingle and play and sing to the different artists songs. There was a total of five different groups/artists that played throughout the whole show. I am lagging a little behind at work today due to the three hours of sleep I got, but man it was well worth it.
Zac Brown is an American Hero! Saw him twice this past year and both shows were awesome! He's a hell of a talented musician, and I'm certainly hoping he comes back to town in 2010 because I'll be there. Love my ZBB beanie. :D
Yeah, I saw them on the CMA awards doing Devil Went Down to Georgia and I hear them on the radio now and then, I've been thinking about getting some of their music.
Before the last show they played about a 3-4 minute video montage of behind the scenes stuff including Zac playing with his kids, writing music with the band, cooking, hanging out with guys like Kid Rock & Kenney Chesney, etc. It was very cool. I've watched a few behind the scenes specials and interviews with him and he seems like a very down to Earth dude. He's been making music and touring for 10 years already and is finally having some success, which is nice to see. My wife called me into our bedroom one Sunday morning to see Zac on Paula Deen's cooking show on the Food Network. Apparently he's a really good cook, and actually has his own line of spices and rubs coming out. In any case, they were cooking venison. Gotta love that!
Funny, just saw on FB one of my old high school classmates is attending a ZBB concert right now in St. Louis as we speak...
They are taking a cruise ship out on Labor Day weekend of this coming year. It is the Zac Brown Band and about a dozen other artists. They all play and hang out with everyone for 4 days. I would really like to go on that, but just can't come up with the money right now.
What's a... C...D...? Seriously though, ZBB is so versitile. They were in MN this past summer, and performed at the Raggae fest (SPL?), then came back to do the country concert. I thought that was pretty cool! But he still looks like a homeless guy. Lol. kidding.
