Hey guys I am buying a new bow and I have shot my uncles Z7 and it's am awesome bow. The question I had was the new Heli-M is not much different from the Z7 spec wise except the weight. With that being said I have herd you have to add special attachments to hold sights and such because there are no holes in the riser. Is the weight of the Heli-M a substancial difference loaded out with accessories than a Z7 with the same? And do you guys thinks its worth the extra 100 bucks for the new Heli-M?

I just got a Helim and had no issue with sight install and didnt need any special attachments. The difference is the cams and brace height, weight and axle to axle length.

    Helim - 7" Brace Height
    Z7 Xtreme - 7 3/8" Brace Height

    Helim - 3.4 lbs
    Z7 Xtreme - 3.98lbs

Helim - 30" axle to axle
    Z7 Xtreme - 28" axle to axle

I would shoot both and go on what feels best. They are so close in specs you are splitting hairs on the technical aspect. Go with feel and comfort from there.

I went though this same thing just a few weeks back. If you have the chance to shoot them both I would do that. I was really torn between the two but after shooting them both and putting a bunch of thought into it I decided to go with the Heli-m. I have spoken to several friends that have both and they all say you can't go wrong eitherway. Really just comes down to a personal choice.

I will say this about the Helim, I have never shot a smoother and more comfortable bow. Ruined the first 3 arrows I shot out of if before I even paid for it. The group was that tight :)

Traded my Z7 in for the HeliM and have never looked back. Get the one that fits you best.

I got my Z7 as a close out and the Heli didn't have enough pop for me to upgrade. Apple to Apples I'd get the Heli because of the drawstop for a $100 extra - tough call. Can't go wrong either way. Both fine bows.

The Heli'm has a different cam as well. I went with the Heli'm. I love it and if I had to go back I would make the same choice every time.
