Ok im getting a right tear while paper tuning my bow. I moved the rest over to the left(away from the riser) until it was bullet holes. Now you look and the arrow is definitely not straight and i cant get the sight over far enough to sight it in. Is there anything you can do for a right tear besides moving the rest. New string, cable, cam (for my proper draw length), ata is at 30 factory spec. n cable is in middle of hole so the cam is timed properly. Thank you for any advice. Also i forgot to mention my arrow spine seems to be right. 70lbs at 27in draw with a 25 1/4 inch arrow on a solo cam bow. Shooting 400's thanks again Sent from my SM-N920P using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Set the rest at 13/16" from the inside of the riser shelf. Verify that there is no fletching contact, and that your arrow is properly spined. Once this is done, you can add/subtract twists to the yoke on the top idler wheel to clean up the tear. If you have a left tear, add twists to the left yoke (looking from the back). And vice versa for a right tear.
How do you properly check idler lean? Is it at full draw or in the resting state? Resting state it looks as though i have a left lean to the idler wheel. I took an arrow and laid it against the idler wheel and the arrow about crossed the string. Just ive seen soo many articles on how to check it and i swear one says at resting state another says at full draw. Sent from my SM-N920P using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
Let your paper tear tell you where the idler needs to be adjusted. Once centershot is set at 13/16" and you yoke tune that tear to clean it up, the idler will be in the right spot. Don't worry about how it looks, just focus on cleaning the tear up.
Ok thanks. Ill try it as soon as im able to. Sent from my SM-N920P using Bowhunting.com Forums mobile app
