My son decided earlier this year he wanted to try his hand at football. We were able to join up with 2 kids on his baseball team and he joined their football team. So far this season they have yet to loose a game. Tomorrow is the championship game and they will be outfitted with jerseys that support breast cancer awareness.
pretty cool! we donated a bunch of chinstraps and some cleats to one of our guys son's team! the lil' guys were soooooooooooooooo proud to be wearing what the big boys wear on sundays =-) OH, looks like you got yourself a tooth-chipper on your hands =-) !!!!!!!!!!!!!! sign that guy up!
Very cool!! I haven't been getting out near as much this year because my son's in his first tackle football league as well... last two Saturdays they've had doubleheaders: one in the morning and one in the afternoon. They're 5-0 and have yet to give up a score... secured their spot in the league "Super Bowl" with Saturday's wins on Halloween. It's a blast to watch, isn't it?
Thats cool you guys did that. I could only imagine how excited they were. He loved his first year and he said he cant wait for next season. I had an absolute blast watching them. I have only hunted 4 times this year because of football but it was worth every minute. Our team went undefeated throughout the season but lost in the championship game. We are still very proud of how they played. We actually handled the loss better then the other team (including their parents) handled their win. One of the things the kids liked the most is for most of their games, they got to play on the Pro Football Hall of Fame field where the HOF game is played.
That's pretty cool. We have our own JAYF complex (Jackson Area Youth Football League) with 80-yard fields for these guys... The "Super Bowl", however, will be played on the Jackson High School football field, where he goes every Friday night and dreams of his time in the future to be playing with the big boys. They scrimmaged for 20 minutes before one of the high school football games a couple weeks ago for all the fans; he had a blast! Congrats to yours for learning to be a good sport now!
