    My dad and I have been hoping to elk hunt in Montana for several years now. He said when I got my bow to 50# pounds we could probably go. I have it maxed out at 52 now, will that be enough???

    thanks how close do you think I would have to get? I have a newer bow...

    I would keep shots 30 and under personally. Broadside or quartering away only with the near leg forward.

    Im with Backcountry. If your arrow set up is right and your shooting well go for it and good luck
