Looking for a beginner bow for my 7 year old. I'm open to all suggestions just want to get him something to grow with and will last awhile. Sent from my PG86100 using Tapatalk
I have a 6 1/2 year old. Been looking at getting a bow to start him on but one he can grow with. Through my research the best bow I can find that will allow the most draw weight and length adjustments is the Mission Craze. It truly seems like a bow that will alllow him to grow with and not be replaced for many many years. Now it is pretty pricey but i would rather spend extra now than less every couple years getting updated eqpt. My local shop is going to offer Christmas deals and this is one package they were talking about. Just waiting on pricing to make my decision.
After a couple of years with my boys using the Mathews Genesis bow to shoot you can't go wrong with this bow. The whole family can shoot this bow with no adjustments needed except maybe the poundage. This bow comes in a package with everything you need to start shooting. Once you get your boy shooting be sure to post some pictures to share with us. You can find all the information you need at the following link: http://genesisbow.com/genbow/index.html You can get this bow just in time for Christmas: :-) http://www.bowhunting.com/shopping/search.aspx?keyword=genesis
I just bought my 8 yr old daughter the Mission Craze, it has alot of adjustability, my sone started shooting the Diamond Razor Edge, that too has a wide range of adjustment...
when lookin at bows for your child take in to consederation the overall weight of the bow... you dont want to get a bow that they can only shoot a few times before they get tired and not interested My son is 8yrs old 53in tall and he shoots a Diamond Necular Ice and has robinhooded 4 arrows at 20 yds. it was around 200 bucks new (RTS).
I bought my 6 year old son and 8 year old daughter Parker Buckshots. They love them, and the daughter shoots decent groupings at 20 yards. I didn't like the infinate draw on the genesis. With no wall I thought it might give them bad habbits.
Diamond Razor Edge, Browning Micro Midas 3. A hoyt ruckus would be best in length adjustment and weight, combined with quality, however if memory serves me correctly 35 is the minimum draw weight. Diamond Nuclear Ice if he's still a little small for those. A Genesis isn't going to grow the way you want. IMHO. God Bless.
Agree with the guys that say the mission craze u could bye it for him now and he could use it for the rest of his life ..Most versatile bow i have shot and worth the $...
Mission Craze or Riot. Both are extremely adjustable and very affordable. both have Mathews lifetime warranty. We have sold a ton of these things with ZERO complaints.
As a young guy i will say As a young guy i will say the bows are not considered so important in these days but still they have great values.
I bought and fixed up a used Browning Micro Midas as a fishing rig for my 18 year old Daughter! She is small and petite and it fits her well,,,great adjustability! I just bought a Diamond edge for my youngest son ( 12) for Christmas,,,looks like a great Bow!
Mathews UX2. Both my brothere and I started with them and work great. We both have just grown to big for the draw length.
