I get revenue checks from my channel as well. About once a year I get money deposited in one of my accounts. Kind of a nice surprise to use to pay for a hunting tag or tree stand or other hunting related stuff.

Not arguing, just stating what I found in a bit of metrics searching.

Yeah, it is pretty cool making some extra spending money from something I enjoy doing. I do know that YouTube now measures 4000 hours view time and a 1000 subscriber count to be able to monetize videos now. I have two channels, but one isn't going to make the grade. Bummer!

How many views and whatnot do you need for that?

@Siman/OH There new parameters are as follows via an email I got:

Under the new eligibility requirements announced today, your YouTube channel, Tylan Miller, is no longer eligible for monetization because it doesn’t meet the new threshold of 4,000 hours of watchtime within the past 12 months and 1,000 subscribers. As a result, your channel will lose access to all monetization tools and features associated with the YouTube Partner Program on February 20, 2018 unless you surpass this threshold in the next 30 days. Accordingly, this email serves as 30 days notice that your YouTube Partner Program terms are terminated.

Wow. I haven't gotten that email yet.

As to how much time or views it takes to get paid, I'm not sure. I know about once a year for the last several years I have gotten $100-$200 deposited in an account. Not getting rich off of it, but if it buys and out of state turkey tag, then I am more than happy.

This is my current situation. During the months of Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec....I earn between $50-60 every 28 days. My revenue drops quickly when hunting season ends, as you can see. People lose interest. My views pick up a little when trout season starts and I upload some fishing videos. Summer time is pretty dead for me. I might get around $15 a month.

    Pretty cool.

    I don’t think I meet the requirements.

I got the same message for my channel... It stinks because the little money I did have coming in was used to help offset some of the costs associated with some of the veteran and youth hunts I mentor every year. It's never been a lot of money, but it sure was nice to cover some of the fuel. I had very high hopes of growing my channel to gain more ad revenue to help grow the mentorship stuff. and be able to give away all of the gear associated with the hunt to the attendee... Now unfortunately I'm back to square one and stuck paying for everything out of pocket. I will still push forward, but it'll certainly take a whole lot longer now.

Been filming hunts for years and tons of footage but just got my YouTube channel going. Right now it's mainly farming videos but going to do it big this year with all my self filming setup! Hope to bring some sweet videos. Check out my latest video. God Made a Farmer - Texas Hay Baling Edition

Here's our Youtube page. This is where we have our previous season episodes available, as well as short clips, tips and tricks and product reviews. We just launched a few weeks ago and haven't promoted it a lot. Would love to grow our followers.

I have posted a few videos on YouTube over the years but this year I bought a good camera so I could film my son and I hunting. Here is the trailer for our channel Hunting with Dad.
