I have no idea what I want to do with either one yet.:o

I feel I should at least get 1 of them shoulder mounted. The other.. I dunno.

I keep going back and forth.

Go Euro with the first one, shoulder with the 2nd. He would look B-A with a super hard turn like that one my old man has over his TV.

It's a shame you can't shoulder them both. After all, aren't they Eskimo brothers?:)

Shoulder mount. Looking at a semi sneak, head up left turn I think. I'll make my final decision around Christmas when I drop the buck off.

Likely what I'll go with.. euro on the first.. shoulder on the second.

Your old man does have a cool mount.

    Huh? Eskimo brothers?

I had to google it.. LOL!

    Urban dictionary says...

    n. A male who has had sex with, and ejaculated inside of the same woman as a good friend. (not necessarily simultaneously)

By that definition.. I have a buddy myself who I'm "eskimo brothers" with.

And I know of about 7 of my buds who are all "eskimo brothers" with each other. Now that's funny.

I think they prefer to being called Inuits anyway. Which is less funny I suppose.

The League is a LEGIT show, and Eskimo bro's is a hilarious term we've used for awhile.

Go with shoulder mounts, what the hell. :D

I set out from the get go to do a plaque mount, the whole time working on it I kept questioning why I didn't do a shoulder mount. I'm up in the air on having this rack mounted on another cape, but overall I'm happy with how it turned out. I will say, that I do not reccomend the Field and Stream plaque kit. It looks ok in the pic, but the styrofoam is all but nonexistant and the predrilled holes/screws are nowhere near the size needed. Pretty much a custom mount on a premade plaque. I was worried about cutting too much of the skull cap incase I ever do decide to have it mounted on another cape.

If it's biggest deer, I'll get it mounted. If not it'll be a euro!

Shoulder mount semi-sneak alert and hopefully he will be going down in the to-be remodeled fanily room.

That is to freaking funny. Never heard of that before, and now I know that I have a few "eskimo brothers" too lol.

As for the mounts, I go with anything I shoot gets mounted. This helps me keep my trigger finger from getting to happy, and also what I consider a shooter deserves to go up on the wall. I absolutely love deer mounts. I have 7 in the house right now, and another on the way. Mine from this year will probably be a semi sneak of some sort, not sure on the fine details yet.

Well... The Old 4 PT had a doe locked down and was keeping 2 younger bucks from getting close this morning. Watched him for 10 minutes this morning before work.
Thank God rifle season is over... he would have been killed as he didn't have a care in the world other then keeping the two bucks at bay and showing off for the doe. He final destination was getting himself some. LOL

The real wall hanger was also chasing does this morning. I'll be back glassing him tomorrow before work. He isn't quite the monster buck of all monsters that the rifle boys were saying but damned he is big. I am hoping I have more news for you starting Thursday on a final destination for him. I know where I will be sitting with my little doe decoy Thursday morning !! :)

So far, The only two trophy class critters I've managed this year include the musk oxen frm Victoria ISland and the Prince of Wales black bear. The bear is being made into a rug. I'm expecting it anytime. The musk oxen will be a lifesize mount.

Ryan, I weld up little metal hangers for euro mounts. I use a small 1/8" x 1"x 2" metal plate w/ to screw holes. I weld a piece of round 3/8" tubing to the plate at a 45 degree angle. The entire asssembly is mounted to the wall, via the two screw holes, and the skull is slipped over the tubing thru the hole here the deer's spine meets the head. It is a clean/easy way to display your antlers. I will make ya some if you care.
