Your Top Pick For New Gear This Season What new piece of hunting gear did you buy or try this year that you really liked. Please share anything: new bow, arrows, blind, ect... My top pick is definately Ozonics. It helped me see more deer this year and I truely believe made me all but invisible to a deer's nose. This is an amazing piece of technology that actually works which is a nice change of pace in the hunting industy. I looked all over for the best price and ended up finding a site that sells them for $60 less than everyone else! Here is the link if you want to try and get one before their promotion is over. Ozonics Reviews This thing is worth every penny and has a guarantee as good as its results.
Seriously? Your pick is Ozonics? I never would have guessed that a first time poster with a link to Ozonics reviews in their sig would pick that. What a crazy coincidence.
2011 Bowtech Assassin. My new rubber boots. I've been wearing them from September until now. Still keeping my feet warm. I too began to utilize ozone filters. I started by putting a bigger one in the little barn I have devoted to all hunting articles. Then, I purchased 2 smaller ones that I rotate between my vehicle, where my clothing is stored and where I keep my under-garments in the house. These things work.
LOL :D I don't have a pick....this is the first year that I can remember that I didn't buy 1 thing for hunting at all. Well, I did buy a pack of handwarmers for my son.
No doubt! My pick is the new pack I used this year ... the Eberlestock Tailhook. Great for treestand hunting.
Mostly stand items. More hanging brackets for my LW Alpha, some more Skyhook bolts. Maybe a set of climbing sticks. Things I want but probably won't get is filming gear. Camera arm, HD camera, wireless mic. Stuck with a little JVC Everio and no arm for now.
I didn't buy anything this season. Kiddos put a hurting on my hunting funds this year! LOL. It's all good though. What I have works very well and has taken me quite a while to fine tune. I will say this though. Probably the most indispensable item I buy every season has to be those hand warmers. I probably buy a case of them by the end of the year. I didn't have any for one of my end of season rut hunts when the temps were in the 20's in the Am. Talk about cold fingers! Won't leave home without em now.
LOL... in that case, my favorite picks this past year are: BowTech's Destroyer 340... Wow! What a bow! Muzzy's new MX-Phantom... leading edge performance with shorter, thicker blades! Victory Archery VForce 350 V-1 series arrows... they just do the job every time! Gray Wolf Woolens gear's wolfskin clothing... you can't buy better stuff! Onestringer arrow wraps... cause life's too short to hunt with ugly arrows! S-4 Gear's rangefinder holder... keeps it handy when you need it!!
Well in my late season, I will definatley put this little sucker to the test as deer will be congregating and traveling to food sources out here with all the snow. A couple spots I hunt I know I will have does downwind as they come down the ridges and filter towards my orchard that has apples everywhere still! Gonna put OZONICS TO THE TEST forsure. And I am gonna give an honest review once late archery is over.
You know Finch I dont blame you. I did decide to try it with the thought in mind that if was a complete joke I would be OK with throwing that money away, on the other hand if it actually helped with the swirling winds I hunt in these mountains it would be welcomed suprise. I new it was a big gamble...Like I said I am gonna really put it to the test in one particular area this coming week. I will let you guys know the truth as I have NO affiliation with the product.
Troy...I hope it works for you. It just seems like a gimmick to me but thats an opinion. AND if it is the real deal, it would just be one more thing I'd have to lug around with me (I carry too much now anyway ) Anyway, I'm interested in hearing how it works for you and we'll appreciate the honest review. Good luck!
My top pick would have to be LW climbing sticks and going mobile 80% of the year. I know the LW sticks have been out for awhile but they are new to me and WOW! Deer sightings increased and I can contribute that some to the fact that Im more mobile. Was more silent than my summit open shot climber. Might not be as comfortable but Im in more trees that I used to not be able to hunt. 2nd I went from wisker biscuit to a QAD drop away and love it! 3rd would have to be predator spring green camo. Now I just need to get some sping green pants.
mine would have to be my gander mountain pack i bought. got it for 30 bucks best 30 bucks i ever spent. that pack just works for me. its small but has so much room has waist strap and one that goes across your chest to hold it on tight. i love it
