What is your thread title going to be this year after you put down a deer?

My hopeful title is going to be...."18 years in the making" as I have never killed a mature buck in all of my years hunting. 2.5 year olds, yes, plenty of them. Never a mature buck.

For some people it might be killing their first deer, first buck, first deer with a bow, first trad bow kill..............

Tonster, have you ever arrowed a buck?

Maverick and Goose don't have high enough security clearance, so I'm afraid it will remain as classified.

What I will say, though, is it depends on where I get him at.

    2 ... it's been like 7 years tho :( and it AINT because I've been picky ;)

I have made EVERY rookie mistake and have the weirdest things happen over the last 7 years .... I was at full draw on a 100" 8 pointer last year .... he came in steady and stopped behind a group of trees and stood there for 5 minutes ..... he needed to take ONE more step ... he ended up just turning around and walking back the way he came

2 years ago, my finger hit the release as I was pulling up on a nice buck just as the sight got behind the leg and right near his chest .... sailing right where my pin was  I shouldn't have had my finger near the trigger until I was on the spot ....

I could go on and on .....:o

I have a feeling that I will be letting the pops shoot the bruiser this year. He had surgery 3 years ago that left him numb in his lower limbs, not allowing him to hunt very much if at all in the past 3 seasons. I've got two bruisers cruising through like clockwork and as selfish as I am, it may just be his turn. So my title may be Pops got it done in NC. But if he misses, I'm laying the smack down LOL.
