Ok just wantin your thoughts on this. This is my first season on this property, i did a good amount of pre-spring scouting, running cams, an just today got stands hung ( one left). But wonder if you think its good spots an where i would want the wind to be blowing ( If you even can)

    Thanks in advance

    Purple - Bedding area
    Blue -Stands
    Yellow - Neighbors Corn Fields

Theres a pond, but no food plots. The deer move alot between the two properties. Think this Set-up will work?

    What are the prevailing winds?

Check the weather station regularly and pay attention to it. The winds can either make it break a spot! Trust me.

For example if you have south winds then the stand up north is better. Less chance of deer coming up downwind. If north winds I'd consider moving stand south about 50yards in from the field edge.

I have an app on my phone from realtree that tells me the wind and all good info for hunting. If you have a smart phone check some of those apps out. As far as stands the one on the right I would probably be a bit north of that tucked in the woods before they hit that field. good luck

Usually the prevailing wind is from the west down here so I would say you could move real close to the bedding because your scent would be going away from it.

That's what the stand on the far left is for, it's right at the top of the hill outta their beddin! It's also the last stand I gotta hang

use NOAA.gov for your wind direction if you have a smart phone. It's very accurate and the only thing I use.

Can you hunt the big woods on the top right? If so, I'd put a stand in there that you can "easily" get to that isn't crossing any bedding areas or anything and play the wind right.
