Found on craigs list, maybe it's on a leash too so you wont mss! ( hey fitz we could ride share and split the cost then you can forget about blade!)
i agree that is so pointless. those same people put it on their wall and brag but have accomplished nothing
I don't get it. What do they let him out of the cage for a day and then call him back with a dog whistle if you don't shoot him?
I wonder if they would just shoot it for you and send you the mount if you didn't have the time to go shoot it yourself.
i was watching a show the other night on the sportsman channel and they were talking to a guy who owns a place like this. This guy grows these huge whitetails in a fence and people come and kill them, but the whole episode was about drop tines and how they breed some of their deer specifically to grow drop tines because they are "marketable" and "sell well". this crap is just unbelievable i dont know how anyone one could go kill one of those animals like that and actually think to themselves that they are hunting. the farmer goes as far as to shoot one of the huge bucks with a tranquilizer because he had broken one of his drops while he was in velvet, so they drug the deer up and actually go in and repair the broken antler. its just crazy, i guess you cant put "broken merchandise" on the shelves though! I've already said it but i feel it needs to be re-stated, that IS NOT hunting its killing.
How stupid. Why would anybody want to pay $10000 to shoot somebody else's livestock/pet? What a waste of money. If somebody has that kind of money to blow on something so ignorant maybe they should donate it to a charity or something that can actually do some good.
I will take a smaller racked wild deer that I worked for any day over that. Can't put a price and pride in my book!
I think we should all email this guy. Post the link. Make believe we want the deal then tell him to suck our no fence balls
I wouldn't shoot a high fence deer or anything, But hey you cant blame the guy growing them. Its a business no different than selling cattle or hogs.
Two weeks ago I went on a four wheeler trip with a bunch of guys in Wisconsin near Eau Claire. We stayed at a lodge that also ran a deer farm. They had two bucks that scored 199 and 208 in an enclosure behind the bar/restaurant. The caretaker of the deer told us that the two bucks were to be shot this year in their 550 acre enclosure.(pen were is exact words). The cost to the hunters (killers) was $15,000.00 each. He also said that most of the clients were well to do doctors and lawyers and such. Appalling,
Like all of you I feel the same way...this isn't hunting and I hate to think that some people think it is...as mentioned above...the dr/lawyers have the money to do so but I would love to see them spend all the time we put into the whole process of actually hunting the deer, watching weather, knowing food sources, etc.. instead of just killing them...vomit
I wonder if they feel buck fever and get that rush that we get hunting the way we do? Hey if they are into it Im not against it. Just not my thing at all. But, I just may get into the "farming" side of this...10k-15k for a deer...shoot Im all about that!
Have you ever watched the hunting shows and they do not cut off the truck completley going done the cart path while the grain is being thrown out the back? why do you think these deer are standing in a wide open cart path feeding? Because this is how they are feed all the time. Maybe i'm jealous ? but it just rubs me the wrong way and robs us from non hunters understanding all the work we put into this!
