Treat it like any other bow. Keep it clean and wax the strings. Great bow.

Thanks yea I definitely understand that this is my first Mathews bow so I don't know a lot about Mathews even though its a later model. its got everything Do you know if it was the flagship for that generation of bows. If the draw is not at my length will I need a different module? kinda concerned about that.

Not sure I bought mine in 08 right off the shelf. I would check ebay if you need a different cam I seen them on there pretty cheap.

Switchback is a great bow. My friend had one and it shot really well. Switchback was a very popular bow for Mathews and they sold a ton of them. I don't think you will be disappointed with it. I didn't know they offered it in Realtree camo. All of the ones I have ever seen were in Lost camo.

If you need a different draw length you will need to buy a new cam as they do not take draw mods. IMO it is the best Mathews bow ever made and I still have mine!

The SB was before Lost Camo. I think they're all Hardwoods gray.
Still have my original SB from '05, don't think I'll ever get rid of it.

Cool man. Thanks for that info. I thought that was just an old Lost Camo pattern.

My uncle bought one when they were just coming out. It is my cousins now and I shoot it when we are practicing a lot. I have also shot many of the mathews from the past couple years including the heli-m, z7, creed, creed xs, chill, and I honestly think it shoots just as good as the others. That is my own opinion, I enjoy shooting it as much as I can and I don't even hunt with it haha. And my cousin did have to buy a new cam to adjust the drawlength on it....he just brought it to our proshop and got it switched out with no problems. Shoots awesome though, I think most guys on here that have the XT will tell you that they won't ever get rid of it because its an awesome bow.

Been shooting an XT since 09 and live it. All of my hunting buddies are envious of how quiet it is compared to theirs.

I have now quirks or oddities with it. Treat it like you would any other bow - keeping it clean dry and waxed.

    You'll love it

Many claim the Switchback is Mathews finest bow they ever produced. Not the fastest bow, but a pure pleasure to shoot one. Mathews hasn't made bow yet that's made me want to "upgrade" from my Switchy.

I had my Switchback for over a dozen years before I got the NO Cam. IMO the SWB is a fantastic bow!

A lot of people feel that way about the Switchback, it has the look that many archers associate with a modern classic compound hunting bow. The long and almost straight riser of the NO Cam just looks wrong to a lot of guys.
