But you see, I think I understand it pretty well. Nope, I didn't play college ball, my bad I guess. And nope, I don't think you need to to beable to see what's happening. You always seem to revert back to "I played competitive baseball at the college level. I know it all, no one else does. What I think is all that matters and of course it's correct".

I understand exactly what's going on and happened. I just don't find the game of baseball and the games they play at times so important. And I don't think that because it's always done this way is necessarily the right spirit either. Men playing a game acting like kids doesn't take a genius to see. Oops, sorry, I'm not qualified to say that, I never played college level ball. Why do the rest of us even bother to watch?

I don't care whether you watch or not. Just don't make generalizations on things you know nothing about......lest you show your ignorance.

You see, David.....I wouldn't begin to make fun of the things I find "quirky" that our military puts its' members through. I don't have to understand it; it would be disrespectful and it would show my ignorance.

Carpenter has been on record saying that asks for Brendan Ryan to play SS when he pitches. The kid can cover some ground, has a quick release on the DP and is their best option at SS. That doesn't change the fact that his last name should have been Gump. Ryan is flake and has his head planted firmly up his butt a good portion of the time. His glove didn't malfunction, he grabbed the wrong one, and Carp already had to wait for the ESPN green light to start the inning, then Ryan asked for another timeout to get the right glove. Unacceptable for a guy that has been in the league since 2007 and played alot in that time. Ryan needed yelled at, and Carp did it. Albert has done the same thing ALOT more times and yet it never gets mentioned.

As far as Carpenter yelling at Baker/ Rolen, I don't agree with that at all. Carp has been angry all year about something, yet he keeps performing. If it takes him being a prick to keep winning, well, carry on. :D

He can bring the heat! Sounds like he's still a little on the wild side, but he can use that to his advantage throwing triple digits.

The Cardinals are a team in serious trouble. Outside Pujols and Holliday their lineup has been a joke. They consistenly fail to come up with key hits when the game is on the line. Meanwhile the Reds are playing just the opposite. There is no doubt that the better team is not only leading the division, but they are almost unreachable at this point. Another sweep this weekend would tighten things back up, but it would still be difficult to come back 4 possibly 5 games in the final month. It seems the Cards only hope at this point would be the Wildcard, but I can't see them being able to flip some kind of switch to turn them back into the team they were at the start of the season.

There are rumors that more is going on than what we are seeing on the field. Reports that LaRussa and Rasmus are not on speaking terms, and that before next year one or the other will be gone. Also, Pujols and LaRussa sharing political views during the recent series in D.C. may be causing turmoil in the clubhouse, and of course the yearly discussion that LaRussa has lost his grip on the team.

This past road trip was their chance to really try and grab hold of this thing......they went 2-8 against teams under .500. Watching them is almost unbearable right now. I have tickets to Friday nights game against the Reds and had they not been a present for my mom, I would had sold them.

    I for 1 hope it's Larussa,I just can't stand him.:o

Hard to imagine they miss David Freese as much as they do.

    and Ludwick...

I've always been a fan of LaRussa, but after last years collapse towards the end of the year, and an even bigger falling out this season, someone needs to take the blame.

    IMO,Larussa over manages.

I would have gotten rid of Holliday before I would have gottend rid of Ludwick.

    He is clutch,Holliday,not so much.

I watched Ludwick throw a bullet last year at Cinci to 3rd for an out.I was between first and right and it was an awesome thing to see in person.OH,and Pujols hit a granny to seal the deal.:D
