My remedy: Scratch then apply rubbing alcohol. Repeat. Stops spreading and dries it out. Carefully with the clorox as it can cause serious health issues with extended exposure, if I remember right.
I've got steriod shots and prescription poision ivy cream in the past but it didn't help a bit. I usually scratch it up and put bleach on it. It burns like fire but dries it up pretty fast. The thing is it's on my kneck and face so I'm trying to go without battle scars from scratching it all up lol. I've been putting baking soda mixed with water and smearing it on and when it dries I spray it off with steaming hot water and that kills the itch for hours. I've been keeping caladryl lotion caked on it too so we'll se how this whole thing goes
