I personally use 4in vanes with extreme helical. I was wondering what you guys were using? Rather it be feathers, 4inchers, 3inchers, etc, how you fletch them and why you perfer it that way?

All about personal preference. Personally I am use 4" feathers just for the forgiveness they provide. If it’s good enough for mother nature to put on a turkey to fly……… it’s good enough for my arrow.

It depends on the venue in which I am shooting. For hunting I highly recommend and personally use a 3" or 4" feather. The last few years my hunting arrows have been backed with a 3" feather fletched with a helical. Indoor arrows are fletched with a 4" or 5" feather with as hard of a helical as I can get, and 3d/outdoor arrows have 2" razyrs on them. I prefer feather for many reasons but some are; they are lighter, more forgiving, look cooler(as in you can splice them to get some radical designs), and last I knew birds didn't have plastic wings.
