I have an original Bushnell trophy Cam that is a 2009 model that still works flawlessly. Next in line I have 2013 Reconyx that still works fine.

I will literally cry when my final and only Red40 12' dies.....that thing is by far the best camera I've ever had. No joke and no exaggeration.

I just received my ten new G42ng Stealthcams yesterday. Got them all powered up and set. I also bought a new Tasco 12mp camera from walmart a few weeks ago but have not set it out yet. It was like $38 at Walmart. It's a pretty solid looking little cam and the test pics look pretty decent.

Hope it's as good as the first year they came out. Is there a version number on the box or cam of the g42ng? I know version 2 and 3 were not good. The ds4k so far is good.

I just bought the 8mp tasco from Wal-Mart tonight. $28. I've heard good things considering the price.

I bought one to try out and in 3 weeks the batteries were dead. Let us know how it works out. I may have just got a bad one.

I still have them, coons bit into the sensor cover on one of them. The other three are still out in the field. They weren't all that bad but have some annoying quarks. If not set to the lightest sensor setting they just pop off pics at anything like bugs or grass and I can never tell how many pics are on the cards from looking at the screen, they have an indicator but I think it counts backwards off a total number the card can hold rather than just showing how many pics are on the card. I have quite a few nice buck pics on one from the last card pull, it did a decent job after I got the settings just right.
This one had a spider web across the lens and made a bit of an odd blurry spot on the day pics but that wasn't the cameras fault. The night pics are impressive for a crappy little camera.

Yeah these are likely the newer version, they are 12mp rather than the 10mp that my old ones claimed. We shall see what happens, they're mine now for better or for worse.

Reconyx are easily the best but if you want to run 30+ cameras there’s simply no affording them. I have almost 30 Covert’s and a few browning. If price was equal I’d probably choose a Browning (anything other than the Command Ops) but I have a relationship with the Covert people so I wind up with a lot of their cameras. They are good cameras and Covert customer service is good when you do have issues.

To me Cuddeback and WGI are by far the worst of the major name brand cameras. They may have improved but back in the day Cuddeback wrote the book on horrible customer service and WGI cameras are just cheaply made junk.

yeah, that is a pretty good night pic. I've got much more expensive cams that take worse. I also have 2-3 name brand cams that never say how many pics are on them. Just swap the cards and get a surprise.

Is the moon phase accurate? If so, those are pretty impressive.

My best cam has been a covert mp8 (I think that's what it's called). Been out in the woods since I bought it 3 years ago. I haven't brought it in once. Takes great pics. Batteries last a decent amount of time.

To be honest I have no idea if that moon phase is accurate or not, the date is accurate I believe but I don't usually keep track of the moon phase.

The mp8 always seems to get good reviews.

I have two moultries, one Browning and three new wildgame innovations. The moultries I have had since 2010. No issues until this year.

Most of the browning dark ops cams have been good to me over the years except the newer hd pro and pro xd.

Mine has been busnell trophy cam hd. I had two and one finally died last year. And one is still going. I think they are 8 years old with about 10,000. Pics a year.

I actually went back and checked the dates on your pics - dates do match the moon calendar. Pretty cool; I've got a couple SpyPoints that take amazing pics but the time/date/moon phase stamps get all jacked up w/in a week of setting.
