Ditto that!!! A GIANT BULL would leave my satisfied for a long time.....If I could make a deal with the "devil," I'd trade 3 whitetail seasons for one successful elk hunt.....:D

No disrespect, but I ain't there yet.:) If your whitetail season is even valued at half of what I value mine.......that's saying something. Kudos Doug. I hope to learn of that elk desire some day.

Yep, I would count coup for many years to come. My heart would tell me when the time was right to unleash the arrow...it would be spot on.

    Patience is a virtue.

It's going to kill me not say 400 class bull elk but if I truly had one arrow left and had to give it up I would take a leopard.

    Ben,
I love my hunting as much as anything beyond family in life, but those ELK have gotten me and I won't sleep right until the "hunting god's" bestow upon me an elk with my bow and arrow. It's just something that "calls to me" like nothing else in the world, maybe it's just those mountains, but I think it's the elk......

I'd like to shoot the first net typical 190 plus buck in Idaho with my bow, I could live with that being my last arrow. Its never been done rifle or bow here. Either that or a 270 plus net nontypical with my last arrow.

I'd have to say a 400# Black bear. My biggest bear so far is 385# and that was with a 12 Ga. shotgun so I would want my bow kill to be bigger. Chances are it will happen...We have many in that weight range in this area!
