130ish I would say. I saw one shining a few years ago that would pry go 150-160. I couldn't imagine seeing some of the horns you guys have seen, I'd pry piss myself.
170 range. I watched him from year one and even then he was much larger than his buddies. only an 8 point too! nice deer. he runs around with a 10 that is a 140 class deer that looks so tiny next to him lol Hopefully they both make it through the summer....they will be 4.5 this fall
The biggest buck I've ever seen while on stand was last year, the weekend before shotgun season opened. The second I saw the buck my mouth dropped. The buck made it's way out in front of me out of range, and offered a shot to my dad who was about 150 yards away from me in a different stand. Unfortunately he shot under it, and the buck was killed the next weekend by a neighbor during shotgun season. the buck scored 196" non-typical I also saw a nice 160-170 class buck last year as well when I was walking out of the timber. It was pretty cool because the it didn't see me and I got to watch it for 5 minutes or so.
i one time saw a 190 class 12 point typical, we tryed hunting him for 4 years and havent seen him in 3 years.
While on stand the largest buck I have seen was a monster 13 point typical. I believe the score was 165 or so. Had him come 5 yards from my stand but since I was already tagged out I had to let him pass. And that is no lie lol. The neighbor shot him Christmas Eve about 3/4 mile away. The largest wild buck on hoof I've seen tho was a brute I was hard after 2 years ago. Our hired man and I both guessed him to break 180 typical easy. And with very very few deductions. Just an absolute giant. Wish my video footage was better but it didn't turn out.
I've seen 5 or 6 in the 190 to 200+ class. One of them was a big non-typ probably around 220. It took me over 18 years to see that many of them.
Biggest on stand was about 140". The biggest ever was at least a 208"+ very clean symetrical typical and this was BEFORE the Hansen buck. If it wasn't for a guy that owned and lived on property next to the public land I was on I would have had a chip shot, but he came out at daybreak with his dog to intentionally screw me up. The deer was shot by another hunter three years later after it was considerably smaller and had become a non-typical. He scored 187" and some change. I also seen about a 135" 10 point while bow hunting that I think would have broke the 300lb mark field dressed. I walked over a 1/4 mile from where I had been hunting him because I had to piss so bad and didn't want to mess up my spot. I take a piss then kneel down in the middle of a field of 6" tall grass and he steps out of some thick pines about 50 yards.
its funny cause that 170 class deer is the only one like that i see during bow season... everything else is 130 or smaller. then in the summer i see some monsters.... i need to scout better. lol
i hunted a buck for 4 years and he was a 190 to 200 class 12 point typical but the last two years he has seemed to disapear and i havent seemed to find him
16 point with a 19 3/4" spread, pulled the trigger on the 270 and it went click. The deer saw me and ran across the road and was shot immediately.
Seen 2 in Kansas that even though they were shaped totaly different had to go around 190" and an 8pt on a shed wall that had to be close to if not more than the record 8pt. Ask the guy if he would like me to measure it, he said, Ahhh, do I get anything! Have seen several booners in Ky over the years but the one that sticks out most was one that not only had width, the mass on it was incredible, If I would have had a little more daylight, he might be on the wall right now.
In NC, I would say 140's pushing 150's, typical 10, standing with another 10 that would've gone over 130" himself, both studs, the smaller one got killed a year later at 136", but the bigger one is still around. Right now Im hunting two deer over the P&Y mark.
The biggest typical I have ever seen was while shinning one night. I would estimate him at anywhere from 190-200". The biggest NT I have ever seen was while on stand. The most disheartening thing I have ever had happen while hunting. Lets just conservatively say he would go 220. At 10 yrds with a big bushy beech tree in between us. He finally made his way away from me. This was at 11AM the last week of Oct of 2007. Havent heard of him getting shot nor have I seen him since. The biggest I have ever put my hands on was my buddy's 209 5/8" gross giant double droptine he arrowed last fall. Netted 199 6/8" but we use nets for fish!! It was shot in Florida so dont get any ideas folks LOL
