my cable provider it has video on demand, and on veruses on demand they have a white rhino hunt? i watched it, and it brought up mixed feeling about ethics. and i was wondering, is there an animal that you wouldn't hunt because ethically you felt it was wrong to harvest? even if it was legal. and what animal would it be?

i wouldn't kill any animal just to say i killed it, i eat deer and turkey, and dove. and i bet that old fart didn't eat that rhino

I am not entirely sure, but I believe all rhino hunts are "green" hunts where the animal is shot with a tranq dart, after the animal is down it has blood taken and given an exam before being woke back up and released to go on its way.

Meat rarely goes to waste in Africa. I'm betting some people ate it and were grateful for the meat.
Money spent on those hunts helps pay for conservation and they wouldn't kill 'em if the population couldn't sustain some degree of harvest.

Personally, I kill hundreds of critters I don't eat every year. I turn most of 'em into fertilizer.

I have no desire to kill a rhino. I won't knock someone else for doing it (legally) tho'.

    :D
