I'm planning on spring turkey here in SD and in Nebraska and DIY elk in Utah for starters. Deer is a given this fall but I may try some public land antelope if time and the pocketbook allow.

If the good Lord is willing I hope to hunt Wyoming (applied for elk and will apply for moose, deer and antelope), Kansas deer, Oklahoma deer and turkey, Texas deer and axis deer. Manitoba for spring black bear...as the camera man.

Going on an elk and mule deer archery hunt in Idaho in September. It'll be my first time with an outfitter.

For those of you who hunt out of state, do you hunt the same places every year or do you like to try new places every year? For those of you who hunt a new state, animal, or guided hunt ever year, how far in advance do you plan the hunt?

I'll be hunting good ole local private property this year again. This will be my 2nd year bow hunting so still getting my feet wet. But we have plenty of turkey and black tails to keep my occupied this season. Maybe next year I'll look for some good public land hunting out of state. Maybe set up a trip with dad. He's 70 now so might not have too many years left to do something like that.

But good luck to everyone no matter where you are!

I shall return to Kansas some year again but this year is not it. Only Indiana and Michigan this year for me...gonna hopefully recreate a haul out "bike style" up on some Michigan public ground. :) Some year I hope to make it to Wisconsin...but we shall see.

Not really planning on going anywhere this year except might go down for a few day hunt with SharpEyeSam if I can get the time off work! My focus this season since will be working my main property in NE Illinois. A property that I have hunted the last few years but haven't put much effort into it. I am already shopping around for some equipment to put in a bunch of food plots. Cameras are going back out this weekend and all my stands from last season will be coming down. Property has a lot of potential it is just time that I start taking advantage of it!

I do a little of both. Hunt the same areas and expand them a little each year. It takes time to learn an area and figure out the patterns of the game so I don't like to jump around too much. Never have hunted with an outfitter but would suggest calling them now if you want to hunt this fall. Depends on the game but some states have already closed the application deadlines on some big game. Plenty of over the counter tags in some states too.

We are looking at combo hunts in Argentina. I think the biggest expense will be flying things back to the states!

I'll be hunting PA this year. Might get a NY tag and go with the in-laws.

Nothing different than last year. I originally planned a Texas hog hunt and western pronghorn hunt but my work situation changed and those had to put on the back burner.

Hunting my private land for deer, doing some hog hunts now on public land. Put in for Elk in KY, so hopefully I get drawn. Gonna do turkey on public land. Got 2 trips to north GA to do some bear hunting/deer hunting, and if I don't get drawn for Elk I'm gonna try to go to CO.

I've got a few bow DIY public land hunts planned. Red deer during Feb - March, Wapiti in Fiordland (South Island, NZ) in April, Tahr rut in June and then a Wyoming trip for elk and pronghorn in Sept.
