Simple question, did you read the legislation or any part of it that deals with this topic?

That ranks right up there with the Balanced Budget Act of 1997. How's that working out for you?

I love speaking with you more than any on this site.

In my opinion.. you shouldn't be allowed to cast a ballot this fall.

Thanks for the link. I went to the realtor's sights and read their examples and they were as I understood from reading the legislation. This is a tax that goes into effect in 2013 and has been projected by its drafters to raise $210 Billion for Obamacare. The tax is levied on any gains from real estate, dividends, investment income, rents, etc. Any individual with AGI of 200K or joint filers with AGI of 250K will pay this tax on anything above those amounts. So, if you as an individual make $300K per year and you have investment income or real estate gains of $100K, you are going to pay the 3.8% tax on $200K in addition to all your ordinary taxes. Never have I said that the tax would be levied on the sale of all homes. Your comments about my post are beyond rude and have made you look extremely foolish again. If this tax is supposed to raise $210 Billion, it must be coming from somewhere. By the way, everyone has an opinion, but you would do yourself a favor by keeping yours to yourself.

I am casting my vote come this fall.

Passing a test to vote is absurd.

Producing a friggin ID to vote should be mandatory.

My apologies, I missed it. It is interesting that I got zero response once I gave an example of how the tax does in fact come into play. But, now I am back to not being able to vote this Fall.
