lets see what kind of bucks are on the most wanted list this year. Me personally is a buck called choco. Most of you seen the sheds of him at the get together. hopefully he will be even bigger this year as a typical still, but if he grows some trash I won't mind! should be pushin 200 class or better, i'm waiting to get back to check my trailcam pics.
If he's still around this guy is #1 on my hit list. Last photos of him were in mid December but never found his sheds or saw him again. Hopefully I can locate him this summer. #2 is this guy. Same deal, last pics in mid December, no sheds. They are both living on the same farm so hopefully at least one is still around come October. After that falls Dope Ear. No trail cam photos of him in two years, but had multiple sightings last year along with picking up one of his sheds again. If he keeps going down hill he might not even break 100" this fall, but I'd love to kill him. He's a beast of a mature whitetail with a gut bigger than me and mobow combined.
There are several bucks that I know survived the winter. I haven't been running any cameras yet so I don't know what they will become this year. Hopefully I'll have some pics of them in the coming weeks to share. There are also several good bucks in MD that are on the hit list including the big 8 from last year, a 12 whose shed we found, and the MD monster we were after last year.
I am not allowed to use game cameras where I hunt, nor are there any accesible crop fields I can glass. I have to go on sign from the previous deer seasons when I scout in the winter. So I have a general hit list of bucks I have never seen in person or on camera But here is a "buck" I am hunting this year....
I just put a camera out yesterday, but based off what I observed during spring gobbler, we have a piebald (possible buck, I've only seen it from the distance in early April) running around that has truly caught my eye. Other than that, I know there are a few good bucks still in the area IF they survived the winter. I don't usually pick one specific deer, usually that decision is made in the stand at the moment of truth
The buck in my avatar is on my hit list along with several others. It should be a fun season. Justin, both of those bucks are real dandies, but I really like the second buck. He looks like he could be "the man" of the area. Good luck.
I've glassed him this year once and he is bigger this year based on my binocs at ~300 yards. I have a trail cam on a trail he may be using and I intend to pick that up this coming weekend some time so I hoping for some up close pics. Here he was last year.
The first 2 pictures are of a buck we call triple and he has 3 beams. He is my #1 buck I want to get. Next would be Notch and he is gonna be stud of a 3 year old. Then we have Scott's buck which will be a big 4 year old buck. Here was my #1 buck last year and I got him on Halloween, he was a 17 pointer that scored 167 3/8!
I have posted these a couple times now, but here he is again. I last got pictures of him in mid-December so I really hope he is still running around. I am gonna go put up some cameras Friday and hopefully catch him on camera.
I would LOVE for you to tag one of those brutes this year Justin.. and hopefully I'll be filming you when you do. As for me.. right now... "Crop Circle". "Guy of Gisborne" Ask me again in about a month.:D
This guy would be #1 on the list right now. But if the past holds true, the bucks I see in the summer don't always stick around during the fall. And I usually see a bunch of bucks in the fall that I had never seen before. I don't think I've seen this guy before either unless he did something completely different rack wise this year.
Hoy n it those were some very nice sheds at the G2G Here is one of my target bucks. I call him the cemetary buck because he beds within 150 yards of an old cemetary. I also have a couple more in the line up from last season that should be very nice this year, ill be after.
Come August I hope to have a healthy hitlist compiled with pix to back it up.. working on it right now.
