Anyone want take a guess on what they think this buck may score ? My guess may be in the 120's as he has good tine length, main beam length, but light on the mass...but to be honest, not the greatest at this.

    Your guess ??

It's hard to tell with his ears back and the angle of the picture but I would say right about 120"

Not much of a view to get a score from. Just going by the one side and doubling it 115" max.

Knew I wasn't good at this:mad::mad:, but takin the pics is fun...with this being the second year to hunt our property, letting these guys get bigger will only benefit us. With the snowfall we had (in excess of 300 inches !!!) our deer herd did quite well

Looks very similar to a buck I shot I'll say 110 to 115.

I was gonna say 110-115 looks reasonable for that deer, still a young deer, if he makes another year, he ought be able to sneak into the high 120-low 130 range!!! Rob, remember that a TROPHY is in the eyes of the beholder. I've passed several bucks that some of my friends would have killed in an instant, and I wouldn't have blamed them on bit. If he's a "shooter" in your book don't worry about what the tape measure says, put him on the ground.

:D...how true that statement is...however after last year, a doe will be just as good for that recipe you gave me. It's been a few years of passing up some smaller bucks in hopes for a good shooter. Last year I had my opportunity and blew it...TWICE.... Have a few of 115 and one that hits 126 so want to get it up above that...guess that is why I have a few 110-117 deer....I think they are bigger than they are..

I can't put 115" on that deer. Yet. He's actually going to lose when he sheds. This is how I did it.

    G1 4
    G2 6
    G3 5

    H1 3.5
    H2 3.5
    H3 3.5
    H4 3

    MB 17

    X 2= 91 plus a 16" spread(might be generous), 107".

But I agree 100% with Doug, the score means nothing if it's the right deer at the right time. I'm sure he'll look really good from the treestand on some cold morning. Not sure if I could pass him. I'd look more at his age than I would his score. If he was 3.5, I'd likely shoot, if he was a 2.5, I'd try, try to let him walk.

I shot a buck very similar to that one a few seasons ago and he scored 107". I would agree with others that he isn't more than 110".

113 is my guess. I'd pass on him early season because of his age. Late season it would be hard to pass him up

I believe that this is a decent rack for a 2.5 year old which with some of the body's characteristics seems to be...not that I am a pro at that or anything.

Personally it is a good deer, but (don't quote me on this) I would like to see him get another year on him....
