I was wondering if your go to bow is taking a beating like my Montana has in the past year or so! I hunt pretty hard and my bow has showed the wear from it! I for one couldn't imagine having a top dollar bow and putting it thru the ringers like I put mine thru! I took Russ/Kanga's bow the Yarra out today rabbit hunting and really had to baby it because I didn't want to beat it up, with my bow, I don't even think about it!

Are you guys hard on your bows or what?

Steve your bow is 14 years old, I know the limb is tweaked but besides that what kind of shape is it in??

She's In pretty good shape Joe minus the scratches and scrapes and I by no means treat It gentle. I've thrown It on the ground, tugged It through brush, you name It!! Traditional bows can take a beating no dought but from what a few guys have told me can happen Is when you nick a bow pretty good water can get In there and cause lots of problems If It's deep enough. My brothers limbs laminated some on his bow and I believe It started where It got nicked by the looks of It. Either way I'll never change on how I treat my hunting bows. The Yarra on the other hand will get treated like gold!!:d

    Joe.

Dings and scratches add to the character of the bow.

Don't worry if it gets scratched I can always sand the scratches and apply some more finish to it:tu:

I intend to get some pig blood all over the Yarra! I'm more careful with Trad gear than I am with my compound. I sorta have more respect for it I guess. Its hard to describe.
