Alright, I'm looking for another lock on stand. I currently own ameristep, gorilla, and API stands. I'm ready to try something new. This stand will primarily be used for a pack in stand in use with my climbing sticks. I've seriously thought about a Lone Wolf stand strictly for weight issues, but I'm open to lots of different options. I couldn't think of anyone better to ask than you guys. So please, help me out!!

I never hunt out of Lock-On's but a buddy of mine swears by the Summit Copperheads? Its seems like an easy and simple enough concept!!

Another buddy of mine raves about his new Millenium treestand. The platform is not very big though??

Also check out these treestands...they are big and light... www.innovativetreestands.com!!

Again I have never used any so I have no clue but if I were these would be the ones i would check out!

Loc-ons? I hunt out of the cheapest loc-ons I can find. Why? because IMO there pretty much all the same... Why buy a LW that cost $150+ when you can get the same thing only a little more weight and a more comfortable seat for $50.... I just dont get it. I would rather have 3 cheap-os than one LW. I have a few API's and a couple of Garage sale specials. I can sit in either for a good long time.

I don't pack in much so most of my stands are permanent heavier Steel stands with the exception of a few Gorilla Aluminums. Most recently the Comfort Zone stands from D icks have been 29.99 so I picked up a couple.

I just picked up 15 new Ameristeps. 10 cheap steel ones to leave out in the bush and 5 aluminum ones that set up quick for camera stands.

Like Buckmaster said, I would rather have a bunch of cheap stands spread out all over the place than one expensive one that I had to move all the time.

Ditto, my best lock on is a Nontypical, I think ameristep bought them out??? anyway that Nontypical is an awesome stand, extremely quiet, came with rapid rails.. love it.. I have a ton of cheap steel stands .. Sportmens guide gear and they work great I have them scattered all over Northern Idaho.. someone steals one I am out 34.00

That works well if you can leave your stands up! I do this up at my cabin, I have a few stands that are up all season. Where I hunt close to home on state land its illegal to leave stands up overnight! The LW is what works the best, quietest and easiest to set up, it works for me!

Yeah, I forget Joe that some people can't leave their stands up. Up here I can scatter them all over and no one cares.

Take a look at the loggy bayou predator. I picked one up last year to use for same day hunts, it packs nicely and sets up easily. Rock solid once you get in it. I bungee my LW sticks to it & hike in.
